WITH ALL THAT SAID, HERE ARE THE HONORABLE MENTIONS-- since there are no new characters in this sketch sesh! This drawing would've been the last time I'd drawn Caroline, Lexi and Jax all together as a family on this site, which is kind of upsetting! Caroline has since been HEAVILY redesigned, and of course Jax and Lexi have overall stayed the exact same. In their original draft their family had an absent father figure that abandoned them shortly after Jax's birth-- and of course in this piece their father exists for the sole purpose of making their lives a living hell... Clap it up for abuse! (please don't). But yeah, I love their cute little family (without the father) and seeing my stubby queen being the loving mother she is. 🤗

I drew Lexi and Axel in a previous sketch sesh-- but it was more of a closeup than this time around, so I guess I'll do an honorable mention for these two sweethearts. I ended up digging up this REALLY OLD DRAWING of Axel and Lexi in their prime stage (back when they were paler than the moon). Sometimes I forget Axel had yellow highlights... maybe it's best I leave that fact forgotten. Lexi is more of a shy, apprehensive type now than she would've been way back then. She's so unfamiliar with the concept of love (unconditional love, at that), so Axel showing her genuine admiration and affection is incredibly foreign to her. Like really?? You're just a good person for the sake of it, not because you want something in return?? Are you sure?? And I love that about their dynamic. 🩵💛

AND THEN THERE'S CORA AND VLAD, WHO I DON'T HAVE AN OLDER DRAWING AS REFERENCE FOR. Lemme yap about their dynamic real quick-- Vlad and Cora's slide is on the RAUNCHY side, compared to the innocence of the other five-- and that's simply because that's quite literally a highlight of their relationship. Vlad is a vampire living in an incredibly racist and xenophobic human kingdom, so when he's discovered by Cora he expects the worst-- but Cora's one of the few less judgmental types. If anything, she's super curious about him being a vampire! Similar to Lexi, Vlad is unfamiliar with the concept of unconditional love, so he believes to keep Cora quiet he has to uhhh... give her what she wants. Coras had a crush on Vlad even before she discovered he was a vampire. Vlad genuinely likes her back, whether he realizes it or not, but he's not very good at expressing his feelings. So this sketch is basically an example of how Vlad would try to court Cora despite both their inexperience. YIPPEE!

Last mention is the drawing between Keith, Dylan and Erin on the last slide. I really don't draw the Alzir siblings together all that often, it's genuinely a shame! So to fix that at least a little bit... I decided to include these three in a cute little playful sketch catching Erin sleeping with a book covering his face. These three are such sweet siblings (again, without their father in the picture-- history sadly repeats itself often). I can't really describe their dynamic just yet, cause I really don't know what their dynamic even is... but just know outside of their family drama these three vibe quite well together! AAAAND THAT WRAPS UP THIS WEEK'S SKETCH SESH! Maybe I'll do another one eventually-- I don't really plan these so who knows when that'll be!
