no. chara ate butterscotch flowers and she was sick she died and asriel had to take her soul and bring her to the village the humans tougth asriel killed her and thay attacked asriel and thats the story
No Asriel didn't kill chara ( if thats what your thinkin ) Chara ate the butterscotch flowers to save the monsters from the underworld ( srry if u already knew just wanted to say )
[Spoilers/Opinion] I have a quick theory. Chara kind of knew what would happen... (I believe she's evil. I know some people believe she's not.) She ate the flowers/flower pie to kill herself, but before she died she said, "Put me on the surface" (Something like that???) so Asriel would get killed to turn him into flowey. So then flowey would encourage Frisk to kill everyone because she knew this human was determined. The question is, how did Chara know? a dream maybe??? (Wow that was long)
Chara is not actually bad, but just like Frisk they are affected by the players choices. For instance in true pacifist Chara gives you the memory of them and Asriel to save Asriel. And in true genocide Chara ends up killing Sans. Point proven.
*Clears throte* chara fell into the hole asriel found her, she was yelling for help, asriel took her home and toriel and asgore took care of her, then pie happened and chara had an idea, she ate the flowers so that when she died asriel would adsorb her soul and cross the barrier, right before she died she said "asriel i want to see the flowers in the village", he took her to the vlillage then he heard screams of terror "THAT MONSTER KILLED THAT CHILD" one of them said "KILL HIM" he would not fight them he just smiled and walked away, when he got home he fell down and died.
then flowey happened.

actually they hailed him because they thought chara was annoying and everyone had a party

silverfootthewarrior chara wasnt evil just becuz one of the only times you see chara is the fact everyone thinks hey this persons a demons and should die also when chara got a new soul that soul was pure hate and murder so they took on the role their soul gave them kill hate and never love asriel was the only one that made chara happy truely chara attempted saving their family killing their self to let asriel go out there and get enough souls so they could be god and they were safe but chara also wanted to take over asriels soul to kill all humans becuz she or he hated humanity only liked monsters and the player changed that set of mind to kill and hate everyone monsters humans so when u see the picture when you do the genocide run and do a pasifist again there is a picture of everyone with a x drawn on everyones head but charas becuz thats the evil chara is there to let u remember what you as the player did to them

Chara and asriel are best friends- Chara isn't evil nor is asriel- The were basically sister and brother. Asriel got shot by the humans because we are too dumb to understand he was taking her to the bed of flowers, Because chara ate flowers- and she got very sick and died.
in pacifist chara is a memory, in genocide chara resets because you killed flowey / asriel, toriel and asgore, their family, so you cant get to the barrier.

This story IS canon if you'd pay attention to the true you would know, pieces of lore is splattred all over the game. (somebody in the comments said that asriels and chara story is head canon)
