LinkDo you have a favorite character? Mine is Tomura. He's ****ing awful but he's so interesting and evil.

LinkAnd no, I don't think he's 'hot' or 'broken'. I just like him as a villain of basically pure evil.

LinkLet's start with everyone's favorite rival. Bakugou. I know lots of you like Bakugou, but I'm here to talk about why we do, or, why I do. I'm also here to talk about why I hate him. So let's start with the very basics.

LinkHere's the main reason people don't like Bakugou.
He relentlessly bullied Deku. He physically hurt him, he insulted him, he even burnt one of his most prized and worked on possessions.
Let's move onto why he did this.
And that's a very complicated question.

LinkNow, they were very close friends as children. But the time we see Bakugou snap, somewhat. He falls down, and he feels totally fine. No issues, no problems. But Deku is worried. Deku tries to help, but this makes Bakugou angry. Deku was not strong. He hadn't developed a quirk, but in Bakugou's mind, Deku helped him because Deku thought he was better than Bakugou.

LinkNow that's obviously not what Deku thought. He was just worried about Bakugou because they're friends. And this brings us to another thing about Bakugou.
He is given every chance to do better.

LinkHe could have been motivated by Deku's growth to do better, he could have worked with Iida to win the villain exercise, he could have listened to Deku and work out a strategy for the final.

LinkBut he doesn't, and it all circles back to Deku. Deku infuriates him, due to the fact that Deku wants to help him. I don't know about you, but I don't like when people help me. I'm not driven to hurt them, but I do wish to prove them wrong. I think that's why I really dislike Bakugou. Because I don't like the way I act. But I relate to him.

LinkThe thing is, while Bakugou acts prideful, he has low self-esteem. He is extremely hurt when Deku helps him, because Deku is weak, and a weak person only helps those weaker than themself.

LinkAnother reason I relate to Bakugou is because of ambition. We both get caught up in becoming the best.
