giggles. ANYWAYS. Casually? Hard to describe bc I dont know anything other than the Therian experience lmao. I mean it's draw to a certain animal(s) and being like "haha wow yeah thats me". at least for me it is. Some animals just click for me, I did A LOT of shit as a kid that was cat shit and I still dont stop doing it. mmmmmm like meowing, phantom limb stuff, shifts. That kind of thing. Can be spiritual or psychological (Mine is psychological).

Mems are a big part of it for me. Running through the forest on all fours, yipping, meowing, curling up in a ball when I sleep. The urge to chase things that are smaller than me. Everytime I go to crack open an egg in my head i'm doing it with talons. I have big claws in my head but not in real life. there are some really not pretty sides to therianthropy though, like marking urges, and stuff. I don't really have that but I think it's probably the easiest to explain.

a VERY large part of my urge to be near others is the pack mindset in my head. Im polytherian so I have multiple animals that are like. me. Yeah.

It's just belief basically. I believe that its a psychological thing my brain did to comfort me growing up in an unhealthy environment. attaching onto the closest thing that made me happy and fully forming my identity with it. Spiritual is typically believing you were that animal and got reincarnated

okay so therian is like- basically being an animal that is non human in some way, most ppl know that part when me and other people i know are talking about being therian, or trying to figure out a new theriantype, we normally have like, a FEELING, for example, a few weeks ago, i had this very non human feeling, i thought about it for a while and decided that it was a insecty kinda of feel, alot of people dont really know what their feeling is, they just know they have this feeling, so when i knew i was insecty, i pulled up a giant list of various insects, with pictures, and scrolled through it, until i snagged on something that felt specifcally me, which was moths, then, i scrolled through a list of various moths, with pictures, until i snagged on one that REALLY felt like me, and then boom, i figured out i was emporermoth therian type, but for everyone it might not be that easy, some people have much harder times figureing out The Feeling (tm), but it really takes time, if u happen to notice that(1/

that your really fixating on this one animal, or type of animal, maybe give it a shot, OKAY!! now for actually STUFF and not just figuring it i get hella phantom limb, meaning that i feel something thats there, when its not, such as horns,wings,talons,ect i also have shifts in what therian type i am the most feeling atm, for example, if you go to my page, you can see when i first started on FA i drew myself with goat horns, i was in a goat shift at the time, then you'll see i stopped, thats because i didnt have a specific one i was more shifted to at the time, then i had my moth shift, and i am actively in my bird shift, (2/?)

something i notice ALL the time is that therians typically show charatristics of their therian type/shift, for example, when im in a goat shift, i head butt things alot, i bleat, ect, when im in a bird shift, i'll nest, i'll sleep on my stomach so i dont crush my wings, ill sit in high places i havent figured out all my moth ones yet but i noticed when i was mothing i would stay up later and sit in the dark but really therian boils down to looking at an animal and going "yeah, thats me"
