why does everyone on social media bully an artist who doesn't draw either thick curvy skinny white women with fat ass lips or hot white dudes with abs

oh yeah another kind of thing to this is that people (like me) don't draw super anatomically accurate people and more like cartoony or less realism styled

I've seen people get mad at that for some reason ??? which is wild because legitimately how the hell are you mad at someone drawing a cartoony person and get mad at it "not being realistic enough"

mostly art teachers. im only a minor and I've yet to get more with art but what the actual hell is the issue with not being able to draw realism? Realism puts me down a lot. I hate drawing realism. it makes me HAPPIER to draw more cartoony yadayada whatever you heard it before. If it's so much with these art teachers being all "draw what makes you happy" then why is it so much of an issue when you don't draw the most realistic eye or hand?

the most thing I've seen is that art is literally anything. there are no rules to art. yet some of you guys pull shit out of your ass and say "rules!! the rule to art is this!!" and while YES there are such things as "don't shade with black or white" or "use stabilizers" these are more art TIPS rather than rules, and sometimes people don't follow them

and sometimes the old "don't shade with black or white" rule can be broken if you learn how to do it correctly with blending settings and stuff. I've shaded with white numerous times and I feel like I've gotten away with it by doing it in a way I feel like suits my style. I don't do it excessively sure, but again, that is only a tip and a stylistic choice

that second point (???) to this is that art rules are stupid and they don't exist to me. what do you mean it's illegal for me to draw a plus sized ginger black woman? black people are pretty, Asians are pretty the entire POC community is pretty and everyone is beautiful unless you're racist or a dick

then there could be a separate idea where they could learn those fundamental skills either through realism or practicing a few simple shapes. I mean what do I know I'm just a kid. I've always struggled with realism and I always got the bad art teachers, but if there is actually a point to having teachers teach realism then maybe it could be possible for a less strict way ? it kind of just cuts off creative blood flow
