It's about a town, it seems like a perfect place to live at but there are more murders and crimes than any other country. Most of the people are mental and say they have seen a monster in shape of a plague doctor with teeth alike as chainsaws. The main character, Rebecka lost her friend Pearl who died. She is going through high school, yea usual school days when weird incidents happen. She sees Mortem and stuff who tries to kill her. There are only 3 other people in the school who also have seen him. A annoying snob rich boy - Philip. A trans, quiet kid - Alexandra and the class clown Måns. They have to work together to stop Mortem once and for all. The book is horror and can be pretty disturbing because there are chapters where you get to see him mock the gang by killing people in the most terrible ways
