Kaleb is angrily walking through the forest, muttering under his breath.
Charlie is just hanging upsidown from a tree by his long ass possum tail
Kaleb goes from walking to pacing as his anger rises, he snatches a stick off the floor and just starts to twist it in his hands, cracking the wood and well. breaking it ofc
Charlie hears the stick cracking sounds and turns his head to see what the sound is
Kaleb just crunches the stick into bits in his hands then curses and silently yanks out a few splinters.
Kaleb turns at the sound of Charlie hitting the ground, glaring at him "What're you looking at."
"Its none of your concern you.. you..." he looks him up and down then huffs.
Guilt briefly crosses Kalebs face then he huffs. "whatever.. thanks i guess."
Charlie goes over to him, sits him on the ground and sits infront of him "Whats goin on."
Kaleb looks angry again, bit its a tad directed at Charlie now. "Why the hell does it matter."
Kaleb sighs. "Well. It doesn't matter. Theres quite literally nothing in this world you could do to help. its not a slight against you. I just know."
Kaleb rubs his hands together quietly, his metal arm is quite noticeable, since uh. shiny metal + sunlight.
Kaleb rolls up his sleeve, the arm goes all the way up to halfway up his upper arm. "Cool ain't it?"
Kaleb smiles then slips his left boot off revealing his metal leg- which he rolls his pant leg up as far as it'll go, but the metal leg actually ends all the way up at his hip, which the pantleg isn't rolled up high enough to see that. "I've got one more... prostetic besides these two. but that ones a bit- disturbing to show.." (skin grafting<?> is over the metal on his face- thats why.,,)
"mmhm. My dad had some.. little girl make em for me.."

he walks inside and shows the possum around the house, its one floor and pretty nice inside.

"Alright. The other was a log cabin in the woods, a bit close to uh.. an army encampment, but that just means you'd be safe. But this ones nice as well, i know one of your neighbors, they're a nice person, way too nice."

Eventually they reach just- well. a log cabin, he goes inside, its kinda small, but theres a loft bed area with a ladder leading up to it, a nice couch, tv, and a kitchen, and ofc theres a bathroom and a fireplace under the tv.
"Whatcha think of thiiiis one?"

Kaleb smiles. "So ya like it? Wanna check out the loft?" he sets the possum down.

"Thats good! Cmere. lets look at the loft-" he gestures for Charlie to go up the ladder first.

Its just a mattress on the ground with a few pillows and a wool blanket for the bed, as well as a dresser, the mattress is more like a massive pillow then an actual- mattress.
((Kaleb- was originally going to use this house himself,, but was like: oh. i like this possum man. he a good friend. he can have my house. i'll just stick with living with my dad for now.)
