Six had been following Seven for hours to get to this ‘Hide Away’, mostly because he said he knew a shortcut that was located in the vents. To say the least, she was having doubts. The quiet sound of their claws scraping against the medal was starting to drive the dragonet mad, then seven started humming. She nearly stopped just to start slamming her head against the vent wall. “We’re almost there,” Seven stated, before continuing to hum. “Stop that,” Six hissed, her anger starting to slowly boil over. Even her scales were starting to darken to a more red color, than their usual dark pinks. “Mmmm, maybe, if you ask more nicely,” Seven replied in a sing-song voice. Six glared daggers into the odd dragonets back, “Stop, or I’ll claw your face off”. Seven chuckled nervously, “Not what I meant, but fine I’ll stop. Like I said we’re nearly there anyways”. “Good,” Six growled, as they came to a vent cover. Seven messed with the screws a bit before taking it off and setting down, crawling out and motioned

Six to follow. She rolled her eyes as she walked out of the vent. She stretched out her good wing as Seven put the vent’s cover back on. “Come on,” Seven suddenly said, “It’s this way”. Six followed, before realizing that they were probably father down inside the Maw from when they were in the cage room. She sighed, following Seven. In no time, she found herself looking around at the surrounding area. The very first thing she noticed was the amount of gnomes wandering about, and the amount seemed to grow as they walked on. The second thing she noticed was just how much more- cozy this part of the ship felt. It was warmer here. Six felt herself relaxing a bit, she couldn’t remember a time on the Maw where she’d been some place where the air was warm. “It’s warm isn’t it?” Seven suddenly said, yanking Six out of her thoughts. There’s a furnace at the center of the Hide Away, if you were wondering”. “Yes, I had noticed that it was becoming warmer…” Six paused, looking at Seven’s face.

He didn’t seem all that… Enthusiastic about the new found warmth like Six, or as enthusiastic as she could get. The dragonet hesitated, on one claw she couldn’t think of one reason why the heat wouldn’t be nice on this cold unforgiving ship. On the other claw she didn’t want him to think she cared, because she didn’t. Suddenly Seven stopped, almost causing Six to run into him, due to how deep in thought she was in. “Hay Gizem!” Seven exclaimed as he walked over to a dragonet holding a gnome. Six frowned, Seven was getting distracted, he could talk to this dragonet in a hat, dress, and scarf later. The dragonet looked up, and Six could see that she had some kind of- thing on her tail, and what looked like stars on the underside of her wings. The dragonet, Gizem, threw a questioning look at Six, and Six returned the questioning look. “Ok,” Seven started, causing the other two dragonets to break away from their staring contest. “Six, this is Gizem,” Seven nodded at Gizem, “And Gizem, this is Six”.

“Nice to meet you,” Gizem nodded at Six, who in turn rolled her eyes and looked at Seven annoyed. Gizem also looked at Seven, although with more of a question look. Seven sighed, “Do you know where Medic is?” “She’s out on her daily scout with Fifth,” Gizem said, as she put the gnome down and stood up, “They should be back soon”. A silence fell over them, Six bet, she knew why they both fell quiet. There was always the possibility they didn’t come back, the unspoken if. “So,” Seven started, breaking the horrible silence, “Do you know where the book is with the dragon tribes? So I could show it to Six?” Six couldn’t help but glare a bit at Seven. To be honest the dragonet was a bit embarrassed to not know what seemed to be such common knowledge. Gizem nodded, then walked away with a few gnomes. She came back not too long after, pushing a book with the assistance of the gnomes that had accompanied her.

Once she’d reached where she’d been sitting before she opened the book to, what looked like a random page to Six. “Shouldn’t we start at the beginning? So we’re not-” Seven started, before Gizem interrupted him. “I just needed to check something,” She looked up from the book at Six, “Could you take the hood off for a moment?” “I don’t see why I should,” Six said, as she rolled her eyes and pulled down the hood. Revealing the frills on either side of her head. Gizem’s eyes widened a bit, as she looked from the book to Six and to the book again. “You’re,” Gizem paused again, “You’re a rainwing”.
