Oooo I actually really like that question. They’re mostly feral but they can be anthro too! I think in water- related situations they’d mostly avoid it but if they can’t then the lava on the exterior would have a watery viscosity and be more watered down- I think the temp of the water would depend in terms of steaming up n things like that

For biomes they can pretty much be wherever, just not in a super hot or humid environment (similar to an actual lava lamp)

I assume they have like- a version of a cemetery but it’s just a museum of all the corpses 😭😭😭

Sooo actually they have like- an immortal king who EATS them when they die- They’re a peaceful species and the king just wants the best for his kind so when the museums get too full he eats the oldest ones to improve storage and stuff They technically can eat each other because they have pretty tough immune systems and without the lava inside to protect them it isn’t hard to eat them, since the lava is like their natural defense

They don’t have natural predators YET, I haven’t gone that far but I might end up making something (prolly not I’m not very motivated 😭) The king has a mustache from what I know, it’s a cultural honor for him to do it and most of the people like- teach it in storybooks and stuff to their pups, there are a LOT of storybooks abt the death process. Family members typically don’t visit the museums bc they don’t like the idea of death that much anyways, they do pay their respects by leaving the statue in their homes (wherever they live) for three days before donating them

No they don’t have meaning in terms of colors, markings and physical traits matter more. In fact in order to get a rarer Lampion markings wise they’d have to have genes of old relatives with those specific patterns and traits. So like the longer time passed between the old relative with those genes and the new one means the markings/traits will be more rare until it stops and restarts all over again if that makes sense 😭

And yeah I’ll start working on the orbeez thing!

They can literally come in ANY colors, the main pet just has to be those same colors but darkened. Worst enemy would most likely be some enemy that hunts in the dark, maybe water based? I’m considering doing something related to orbeez 😭

so there aren’t really any gender differences, I think if there were it would be like- maybe just claws for the males and none for the females?? Idk yet abt that For lampion pups, there cores/ where they have lava aren’t full yet, they reach maturity when they’re completely full of lava
