also surround the edges with the shading colour but not near the edge where the light strikes the most and also never shade with like a darker version of the base colour like,, don’t use black lmao
well I mean, if you’re a very experienced artist you could make some good pieces using black shading,, but when people do realism they always turn to black shading because that’s kinda what’s in the real world?? but depending on the surroundings the shading hue would vary imo
