I just think the post is kind of pointless
I guess all ramble posts are and I can’t talk
But talking about how edgy flipanim is seems kind of pointless and specifically edgy things people have done or said
You asked WHY is the current flipanim base so edgy and no one actually explained or theorized why
Because flipanim is unmoderated for one
Why are people spamming offensive things
Because they can that’s the issue with flipanim
Flipanim has ALWAYS had a issue with edgy people
It’s just before there were alot of good people to filter out the bad
It’s not just a current thing this has BEEN the case in my opinion
Half of the edgy people are trolls that are TRYING to get reactions out of people
And the other half are little kids that have been exposed to violent or inappropriate media and don’t know how to talk about it or filter themselves
And then you have the abusers and perpetrators that probably exposed those kids to that stuff in the first place
Not to mention making jokes about serious things is something people do to cope
Tbh ik why fa is edgy I ain’t stupid cuz moderation sucks really bad, I was mainly stating why be edgy? Like imo, it’s just really corny and attention seeking to me like “ooo look guys, I make jokes about hitler and sht” and it’s just that most of the time. That’s being said, that’s just me and was just making ramble posts cuz I’m bored. I’m aware my words can’t change nothing tho and get if people make fun of me for it lol
It pisses me off when people say oh flipanim used to be so good ( not saying you did specifically ) or oh I miss the old flipanim days
No from the very start flipanim was flawed in a terrible way and it was because it was barely moderated and there wasn’t a team to do it
That’s the biggest and fattest reason people are so edgy on here
They can be, and they won’t be banned or punished if they do so and no one is going to do anything because they cant
Also a lot of the users who ARE being edgy are infact little kids or teenagers like it or not some people like edgy humor and find it funny
Why not do or say something you find funny? Well obviously because it’s offensive or possibly triggering but they either don’t care or find that part of the irony
I find a lot of edgy humor dumb and unfunny as well but I can understand why ppl do it
Because to them it’s funny
I don’t like sh jokes especially when they are commonly made or mentioned but I know for other ppl that’s just how they cope to them it makes them laugh it makes them happy even if momentarily and laughing and being happy is a feeling most people enjoy
That doesn’t mean they aren’t insensitive for possibly triggering others and that doesn’t really explain racist humor or homophobic humor
Sorry I should’ve waited till you were done talking but i get everything ur saying completely. Most of the time it’s kids who are finding ways to cope and i get that. I was mistreated and exposed to gross sht when i was young and couldn’t find ways to cope with it so i just joked about it. Yes they wont care if people are offended, yes FA has always been edgy, but i feel like people are allowed to point that out as it is an issue in this site. FA has never been clean and will never say its been good when it was hell even being on here.
I understand me and others saying it’s a problem wont change what they do and think. Kids will cope however they want but i wont deny things like this need to be talked about in terms of the website if the website owner ain’t gonna do jacksht about it. In the end of the day, it only leads to more kids being exposed to this humor and letting the cycle repeat itself. Again, this is just my opinion on it. Im not trying to change yours on it or anything and just saying what i think on it.
