So there´s this concept I came up with of some kind of apocalypse, where any choice you make is uncertain. Basically, even the safest choice might end up killing you. So; I wrote a thing for it, here it is...

Apocalypse of Uncertainty There is no obvious path. There is no safe path. An surprise is lurking around every corner. Whether it’s a miracle or destruction, you can never be sure. The metropolis has been obliterated, leaving a scarce portion of life itself scavenging across deserted cityscape, struggling to survive. You can never depend on taking what seems to be the safest route, nor can you trust the unexpected. Choice is an illusion of mind that cannot be escaped. You will die avoiding it. You will otherwise risk making it for your own sake. There is no in between. This is the Apocalypse of Uncertainty. This is where the lack of reality becomes reality.

And here's me trying to figure out how it´d work; I would imagine there’s going to be multiple groups of people, possibly human-like variants as well, scattered across the said metropolis. They wouldn't trust each other in order to survive, with the exception of sometimes grouping together to try to defeat the odds. Life itself is not unexpected, just basic survival. Living an everyday life here would be a gamble for anyone. Perhaps there's some god-like person watching over this poor, distant community making their choices for them. Maybe they’re the one who wrecked the city in the first place, and now hiding in the shadows waiting to decide your fate.

Ok, I know, I know, this is a lot to read- But I also came up with an example of what a bit of story might look like here;

*The few of you cautiously enter the first floor of an abandoned, harshly-lit building, searching for requested supplies for the others back at base. All of you are clearly paranoid of any sort of danger, keeping an eye out for anything potentially lethal. One of your comrades stalls at the entrance, staying weary of any threats that may lurk ahead. The usually bouncy, presumable comrade skips ahead, almost without your notice. They take a quick look left and right, and jerk their focus back to you. “Yep! Its safe, come on!” They say. “You remember what happened last time, right? We almost lost you last time, Im not risking that again! Now get back here before you get hurt!” You reply. They sigh, and proceed to try proving how their rather ambitious energy couldn’t possibly do wrong this time. In the middle of their rambling, your overly-cautious comrade interrupts. “Stop!” They hold their hand of to signify silence, followed by a pause. “That might be a trap up there.” They point to a harsh-looking shado

-w that seems a good distance away from where your energetic comrade is standing. You can’t quite make out what it is, but it seems to take the form of some kind of blade-like weapon. “Don't move.” The overly-cautious one orders the energetic one. “You might set off that trap up there. Now, carefully get down from there!” They sigh and proceed to climb down from the short stack of boxes they had been standing on, when all of a sudden, one of their feet slip on something. A loud WHOOSH comes from their direction as they freeze in shock, their foot still pressuring some kind of wire. You all freeze in disbelief as well, not being able to comprehend what just happened. “Im okay! I think I almost tripped on this string here.” The energetic one beams, and proceeds to point down at their foot. This reassurance briefly sends you all a great deal of relief, having thought something terrible just happened. But just as you think you’re safe after all, a disgusted look comes across the energetic comrade’s face. A seco

I haven´t written anything else for this little franchise I made up. I hope you all get the idea, if anyone reads this anyway. I thought I´d share this with you in case anyone could possibly make anything of it. :>

Not sure. I´d say I´m pretty creative irl, so I´ts pretty easy for me to make up stuff like this. I might make characters for it or something.

Woah, this is a really good story concept. This is actually a story I think I would really enjoy.
