dude it sounds like they were trying to put you down like saying that is really unnecessary. the whole point of becoming something is to first LEARN HOW to be in that field of career first, if you put in the time and the effort you could definitely pursue that job as a lawyer bro. Its really just so sad to see have especially ESPECIALLLYYY family members say you won’t be able to do something before you’ve even started.
im not trying to disrespect them or anything since i dont know much but from the sound of it they were literally fr talking you down, family should be supportive of what you want to do bro, and you should keep going and trying despite what they say because most likely they are wrong
