LinkRichards footsteps sounded through the apartment as he opened the door
"Corey! I'm back from work!" He lied flawlessly, his smile hid a thousand lies behind it, and they both new
Corey sat in the kitchen, running to him and hugging him. Now she might have been fifteen, but she wasn't stupid. His hair was horribly messy, he still had a bit of sweat on his forehead and was panting slightly, and he reeked of perfume
Corey smiled as she wrapped her arms around him, but her smile was just as fake as his was, she hated this man, she hated the things he did to her, the abuse, the cheating, the lying, she simply wanted it to all end
He pulled away from her, laying on the couch, closing his eyes as he muttered "now go be useful and make me dinner"
"B-but Ricky, c-could we maybe talk for a-a second-"
She was cut off by his sharp voice "I said now!"
She simply bit her cheek and nodded, walking to the kitchen

LinkShe sat there for a moment, looking over what to cook, until something caught her eye
Outside she saw a woman get in a car, this was most definitely the woman he was just with, given her red lipstick was faltered and was smeared all over Richard
Then something inside of her snapped, a sudden fury overcoming her, sure she's seen him leave with wemon before but it was different this time
She turned back to look at Ricky, he was sound asleep, clearly exausted from his previous activities
She slowly made her way to him, studiying his every feature, wishing she could do to him what he had done to her
But she was just a little girl, what could she do? Hit him and then get a broken nose or another tooth knocked out? No way.
Then she glanced back at his small silver pistol sitting on the shelf above the fireplace
No way, this wasn't going through her head, she couldn't be considering do that
Could she?

LinkShe walked to the gun, looking at it, her mind was a blurr
she ran her hand across it, feeling the heavy metal underneath her gentle finger tips
She lifted the gun, looking back to Ricky, who simply snored
She couldn't. She couldn't. She couldn't.
But...she wanted this to end...she had to
She was so sick of being played with like a puppet, she didn't want to be controlled anymore
She lifted the gun, flicking the saftey off, trying her best to keep it steady aimed at his forehead

LinkHe looked Almost innocent, the way he laid there, his chest slowly rising and falling
But she knew better
Her shaky hand moved a finger to the trigger, see was seeing red

She pulled the trigger, watching the silver bullet peirce his head, he didn't even have time to take another breath before he died
His body fell limp, he wasn't breathing anymore
It was finally over

LinkShe heard the shot like a crash of thunder shake the apartment
She knew people would be there quick, she had to run
She grabbed the pistol, bringing it along with her as she ran through the fire escape, hopping down and running down a few alleys
Eventually the police did come and found his dead body, his mother was informed and her, his little sister, and his friends from high school Ryan and ciro were the only people who attended his funeral
And to to this day, Corey is still wanted for the murder of Richard Nickolas essence.
