Kouru is the Lost Princess of Kou. She was born to Emperor Koutoku and his late wife, and grew up the eldest Kou sibling. She and Hakuyuu grew up together, and she was closest with him. Eventually, the two developed feelings for one another, but couldn't sort through their feelings. (No, it's not incest, they aren't related by blood oof) Kouru was killed in the fire caused by Gyokuen along with Hakuyuu and Hakuren. Gyokuen convinced all of the Kou siblings, that the deaths were an accident. Gyokuen ordered them to never talk about their older sister, which wasn;t a problem for most of them, seeing as how young they were when it happened. The only ones that even vaguely remember her are Kouen, Koumei, Hakuei, and Hakuryuu. Kouru was a very bubbly girl that tried to see the good in everything, and she would pronounce her love for Hakuyuu daily, which he just dismissed.
