I first started using flipanim in 6th grade, and I ended up first resurrecting the VSDs on here. For some reason, instead of being the one-eyed desert jackals with poison barbed tails and shit that they were originally, they turned into edgy furry OCs in high school. I was twelve and trying to be cool Idk. Now for the current VSD you see in the anim above

That is Mandy. I have already explained Mandy. She is the last of her kind once again and any old cringey VSD oc I once made has died. They are no longer humanoid since I made disturbing humanoid furry animals in seventh grade and I would prefer not to go back to that. VSDs are once again, stupid looking one eyed desert jackals. For some "in-universe" lore: I’m deciding to tie in some of my other characters and ideas from circa seventh grade that I am too attached to to let die. VSDs once lived in many places (past tense, as they are now extinct, as I have mentioned) They lived primarily in either jungle or desert habitats, specifically in the (fictional) country of The East Side of South Colombia (home of an old character named Deverott) which moves around the globe and can be in any place at any time, but is always east of south Colombia. Annually, they throw kittens at South Colombia, (also fictional) where the kittens take root and storm the country.

They lived on the island of Yr'f'rt (pronounced yer-off-ritt) on the Great Tree of Rafula (a creation of fifth grade me) You can see a reflection of the tree in Mandy's eye, showing that that is where she is from. VSDs from The East Side of South Colombia had a desert sun in their eye. Anyway, the VSDs on Yr'f'rt lived alongside the Yr'f'rtian cats, related to Deverott's species, and the reason that humanoid VSDs are dead since these things were so f-ing creepy, you don’t even know. They were basically misshapen human bodies covered in grey, matted fur with giant smiling cat heads with pupiless eyes. Rien is the only Yr’f’rtian cat left. She is the last of her kind like Mandy since neither of them can die. They are too special. Rien is a cut off bleeding and floating cat head since I didn’t like drawing bodies as a kid. She can teleport. Anyway yeah, my imagination in middle school was messed up. Viva la Mandy, happy spooky season. Enjoy the Art, I had fun making it.

P.S. The VSD's "traditional" name is the Kaklivavi, coined by me in 6th grade since I was trying to give them edgy lore and "Very Strange Dog" didn’t seem like a fitting species name (If you read through all this, you’re an f-ing champ. Sorry I have a lot of lore lol
