LinkA specific thing I noticed in the art community is people with their Ego and skill, if someone is refusing a compliment it doesn't mean they're being modest, it just means that they aren't exactly happy with their level and would like to improve, If you say something like "I can't draw as good" It's kinda telling them to stop practising and enjoying what they want to work on
