Your going to need to know what a measure, Rests, Notes and Tempo is, so I’ll tell you what they are! Measure or bar: to a single unit of time featuring a specific number of beats played at a particular tempo Rests: an interval of time that you will not hit a note on whatever you are playing Notes: The moments that you hit whatever you are playing Tempo: the speed on the song or rhyme you are playing With that all out of the way let’s get into detail!

There are many types of notes/ beats such as: Whole Beat: One hit at the beginning resting for the next 3 beats Half beat: One Hit with 1 rest of beats Quarter beat: One hit no rests 8th Beat: Half of a quarter 16th beat: Half of a 8th Now the rests are the same thing! Expect you do not play at all when there is a rest! Now I can take questions cause I’m in a good mood to talk about percussion since I was listening to a really cool Percussionist solo I’ll get to play in a year :D
