I'm not trying to one up her, just trying to bring some light into the situation. Look, I get it, you are a realist and pretty straightforward about what you think which I am fine with, but I'm a self-depricating person. I put hate on myself to make people feel better about themselves. If you don't like that then move along because to me your opinion is meaningless and I'm not gonna sit here arguing for the next five hours over a comment I posted trying to make my friend feel the slightest bit better, okay? I'm not trying to compete at all. That is not my intention. My intention was so she could realize that she doesn't have it as bad as she thinks and to calm down a bit and stop putting hate on herself. If you don't like that, I honestly could care less. I'm not going to argue over trying to help.
Also, depression Olympics. I love that. Next time people ask me what sport I'm gonna play I'll tell them I'm gonna enter the depression Olympics.
Depression olympics is a sarcastic term used when someone says "i'm sad" and someone else says "i'm MORE sad, so **** you."
They weren't wrong to ask you to stop seeming like you were one-upping me. saying you're worse sounds more like you're trying to say I can't be sad, because tone is hard to understand over text.
