When I think back to my younger days, one times comes to mind. A time when I was going to school. I remember waking up in a haze of thoughts. My dreams almost still in my mind. I headed to the downstairs of my house, all ready having gotten changed for my day at school. My parents had gone on a trip for 3 weeks, so my godmother come to take care of us. As she told me about how she had woken us up too late, I packed my computer and pencil case into my backpack. I grabbed my gym bag, and headed through the laundry room, to the garage, and stepped outside to get into the car. The car was an old Honda model. We’ve had it since I was four, so it was always dirty from the messes we made as younger children.

My older brother was still in the house, heading to school at a later time. My younger brother had gotten into the back seat. It was late october and the weather was a chilling air. The kind that hurts your nostrils when you breath it in. I got into the passenger seat, as the car was still cold. My godmother had already started the car. The she backed the car out of the driveway and twisted the wheel to turn. The car started on a path that I knew so well to a place I knew. As I looked out my window at the roads and trees blurring by, I began to feel uneasy. As if the car I knew so well to crash into the roads I knew so well. It scared me. In a about ten minutes or so, the car began to wait in the traffic in front of my school.

As a cross guard directed which cars could go, we entered the schools property. I looked up at the several buildings that were there. Staring at the other buildings I noticed a girl on the top of one of them. She had dark hair and olive skin, wearing what seemed to be our school uniform, but with an extremely large coat overtop. She seemed to be soaked with water, being completely wet, other than the coat. Her eyes, an amber color, noticed mine. As our eyes met, We looked at each other for a few seconds, to which she stepped back, no longer in my view. I scanned the nearby cars to see if anyone else had seen her, but nobody's eyes were even looking at her general direction.

The car lurched forward, and drove to the circle where I were dropped off. I didn’t even say goodbye to my relatives that sat in the car. I just got out, and headed to my locker hallway. I was scared. I wondered what she was doing up on that building. I my first thought was that she was trying to kill herself. But then why did she step back? She didn’t have the look of the kinda broken person it takes to commit that act. As I put my bags in my locker, and walked down the hallway to where a group of friends were chatting.
