Dusty used to be a Cristian, with his best friend in the whole wide world, Jack, at age 10, jack had gotten cancer and died, when dusty was 5 he got the scar he has now from his mum and dad, when jack died, dusty blamed god for jacks death, so he stopped going to church and became an atheist, the only thing he has is a locket with jacks photo in it, that he carries all the time
