About a week after her Pup's birth, Angelwing takes her kids out for a little walk outside the territory. Unluckily, the wind began to pick up, and a storm started. As they made their way back to their territory, they swim across one of the rivers and get swept away. Angelwing was able to save one of her pups, but the other two are drifted away. She searches for days but doesn't find them. She tells Ravenclaw, who becomes equally as devastated as she was. Angelwing mourns their deaths for months. After going to Soft cliff, she realizes her pups never died, as they would've been up with the rest of her dead friends. She blames the spirits for not telling her, but Brownwing, a wise old she-wolf that died months before, tells her she can still save them. Angelwing soon prepares herself to set out in search of her lost pups. Her hopes high, and her spirit higher.
