use diffrent layers and use diffrent colors, mess around w/ gradients and make outlines in a diffrent layer befor drawing/coloring.

use diffrent shades of gary/white for you sketches, that way you can figure out what to draw/color! you then outline the parts you want to keep in another layer and erase the sketch!
i suggest looking at other people's art and trying to draw your character in their style, you could also Google some stuff up and try to draw them
You could use some work on anatomy- I know im one to talk but still
It takes a while to learn and get your own way of drawing bodies but im sure you’ll figure it out
Oh yeah! Also find more shading styles. Not saying the one you use now is bad, its just helpful to have more in case.

not saying anything is bad, but try experimenting with neons, pastels, etc.

I've never really used pastels, I'm a fan of them and like pastel colors
But I could never really use them or incorporate them into my art.
