im in this situation currently u-u
i had a crush on my best friend and i told them
but we didnt get together though
i think expanding your friend group is a good idea if you wanna find someone special
but you can have a special love relationships with a best friend
but dating a best friend can be weird and may cause problems withing a friend group
i don't have a clear answer but i hope this helps somehow
