Hi, hello, hey. This is an important topic and i want people to stay safe. Some people have already seen this but this is going to be repeated. Yes, this is copy and paste but still. Do not interact with people who ask to play games or have Mickey Mouse profile photos if you don’t want to risk your life. I hate to bother everyone, but this is important. There is something called the blue whale challenge. It’s a 50 day game which starts with being asked “do you wanna play a game?” and a threat if you don’t. If you accept, the game begins. A bond forms between the host and participant, (the host being the person who messaged you). When the game begins, it seems harmless. The tasks are simple, and don’t seem like it’d be bad. But after a little bit, it results in the tasks getting worse, and worse by the days go by. They ask you to start cutting and such. By day 50, they ask you to kill yourself by either carving a whale into your chest with a knife, or jumping off a bridge.

Link If you refuse, they threaten to kill your you and your family. They get this information by what you post, for example your face and house, they have a hacking program that shows where you live. The other option is you refuse and they threaten to leak your information, such as IP and address. The best you can do is change your profile photo to black (if it is your face), and go on private. Block anyone who has a strange looking Mickey Mouse profile photo. It’s like someone wearing a mask to look like Mickey Mouse. It’s supposed to look friendly.

literally all anyone needs to not fall for the "challenge" is some basic common sense
They threatened giving out their address, name, face, age, etc. They were all online. The person I knew eventually realized that it was probably bullcrap and they blocked them, but they were so scared and didn't know what to do for a while. They trusted the people who told them to do it and thought they were friends.
yeah, tho do you know what anxiety is? Like i said before; people each react differently.

Say what you like about this, you don't have to support it. You don't have to see the logic in it. You don't have to think it's important. We do, however. That's enough for us.
For the anxiety thing- people who have severe anxiety and don't know what to do in situations like these might end up following the challenge. People have died from this before and we want to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Every life is precious- every life has family and good memories attached- every life has friends and loves attached. I know I can't mourn everyone, but I want to save as many of those as I can. I might be sounding redundant, but unless someone is literally causing lives to be lost, their life matters too. I trust in that and I will stand by that until I die. I might not be able to change your mind, but if I save one person, it will have been worth it. I'm done here, and I hope that is you don't agree with me, you can at least stop being rude about it.
