The bright, golden sun casted upon the water, the small ripples crashing against the side of the river, the river was calm, for the most part. two, purple and black paws stepped out into the sunlight, followed by the disembodied head of the dragon-wolf hybrid. Scythe yawned, baring his fangs, his tongue curling as he shook his pelt of any dirt stuck to him.
his tail curled up, he was alert, checking his surroundings. he headed up close to the river. dipping his head down and lapping at the currently gentle stream of water. his ears twitching as he kept his hearing on high alert. he was waiting for someone. He just couldn't miss when they showed up. he would lay against the bank of the river, his paws hanging in the water, his black and purple fur soaking in the warmth of the sun.
Navy calmly stepped from the woods behind Scythe, the hood of her cloak covering a good portion of her face. She sniffed the air for a moment before quietly approaching Scythe from behind, keeping her steps as silent as possible, throwing her head backwards to knock her hood off. She stood behind him for a moment, thinking about if she should scare him or not. She just kind of stood behind him awkwardly.
Navy rolled her eyes playfully, her accent barely audible anymore. "That reminds me, it's actually been getting pretty damaged recently." She reached for and took off her mask, examining it for a few seconds before putting it down. "I'll need to replace it soon, don't want it ending up looking like Maroon's." Her voice seemed to become cold at the mention of Maroon, as did her expression.
Navy quickly followed, appreciating the small form of affection. She missed that, honestly. Her mind slightly wandered to a certain someone, but she quickly shook off the thought. She was just happy to be with someone close to her. She waited for Scythe to take the lead again, no conversation starters coming to mind.
Navy hummed in response, "nothing much has happened with me either. Just the usual. It's getting quite boring honestly," she sighed, her German accent slightly bleeding into her voice again. "I haven't talked with anybody in a long time, it's nice to be with you," she admitted. Her eyes seemed to sadden a bit as she thought to herself.
Navy looked away for a moment. She tried to form a sentence but she just ended up stuttering and sighing. She sat down as well, pulling one side of her cloak to cover the other side. She lowered her ears slightly, before returning her gaze to him. She took a moment to think before replying. "Do you remember Slate?"
Navy stared at the ground again, beginning to speak. A few words were in German, and her German accent had returned. It was a bit difficult to understand her words. "He's been missing for a while. I don't know where he went but, he's just been on my mind ever since he disappeared. I've been trying to look for him for so long but I've had no luck. No trace of him anywhere.. I just hope he's okay."
