What they are: Fletchlings are bird like creatures that live in burrows although they are sort of birds they have no wings they are good climbers and such and do lay eggs their tail feathers on the end are capable of sharpening and are very good at cutting through things and so are their claws

Diet: They are carnivores that mainly eat small rodents and insects they are capable of killing a human even though they come up to a average sized humans waist when standing on two legs do not under estimate them they can go into a full rampage state and are practically unstoppable the only draw back is that after they are done with said rampage they get so exhausted to the point where they will just collapse and sleep anywhere their eyes turn white and they foam at the mouth when they go into this state

Breeding(oh boy) Fletchlings are social creatures but they don't live together mainly just visit eachothers burrows and hang because sense they are semi human they have their own language and know English aswell so when mating season happens it's in winter because when their kids hatch they are automatically more suited for winter weather because they are birds they are born in eggs of course with different patterns on the egg and baby from both the parents combined the dads mainly care for the eggs while the females hunt though its almost impossible to actually tell if it's a male or a female unless they speak English and such they can change their gender if fletchlings in the area are low

Personality (most of em anyway) They are kinda meh to any animal that just exist around them might even befriend some because they are social but any animal that shows any aggression especially when they have chicks near that animal will become a enemy to literally every fletchling in existence and they will gang up and kill said animal They are kinda lazy creatures that lay around in the sun and don't do much unless they have chick's and such so kinda grumpy but social creatures

Rules dos and don't Don't Fletchlings do not have powers don't give em that or I swear to god Ask me to make one PLEASEEEE this is literally the first species I've actually decided hey let's open up about em so do ask me to make one Don't Give them unrealistic colors Fletchlings are more black,white,brown,grey,and dusty blonde (that's only in sandy regions btw) or it can be a mix of em but no purples and pinks and stuff alright

Dos Give em any kind of patterns you want they are mainly based on bird so uh do base them off it BUT you can use any kind of bird to base patterns off! You can give them sexualitys I really don't care because yes they can be gay lol idc about that (Real quick don't) Do not give them bits ok they don't have any that are visible because their bits are literally inside their body's ok) Be creative but stick to the rules please!
