A base its something like this: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/75/23/35/752335d8f2b964748aae3632758c6fd1.jpg It is a clean drawing that someone makes for you to draw over, using it as a base for your drawing. Usually i use bases for ref sheets, cause im to lazy to draw my own one XD
