The stories take place in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a family pizzeria that harbors a dark secret. In the late 1980s, several children went missing at the restaurant. Their disappearances were linked to an employee named William Afton, also known as "Purple Guy." Afton was the creator of the animatronic characters: Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. However, he used the suits to murder five children. Their souls were trapped inside the robots. From that point on, the animatronics became possessed and aggressive towards adults at night, believing any grown-up they see is Afton trying to kill again.
