So your oc was visiting this town, and you just so happened to be close to this police officer (who’s name is now Toby) and one day you spot him, talking to this lady with some meat cleaver she seemed to be getting a bit angry with him and he looked rather exhausted. What do you do?

The woman and Toby continue to talk, Toby seems very tired with this and the woman is getting angry ((oo

The woman looks up sharply. "This young man is intruding in personal business! he should go back to where he came from before he gets hurt." Toby sighs softly, and gives Andy a greatful glance ((:)

"Well he interupted me in the middle of my cooking! I didn't have time to put it down." she snaps. Toby sighs. "Ma'am- im just wondering if you-" "Oh hush! weird things happen all the time here. no use trying to change that now!"

she huffs and turns away, storming back into her house. "well,, that could've gone worse." he sighs then looks over at Andy. "Thank you, i thought for sure she was about to do something regrettable."

Toby chuckles softly. 'Now that would be a regrettable way to die." he smiles small. 'On a side note, what're you doin all the way out here?"

"Huh. Well its nice to see you again, its been a little while." he smiles. "You wanna head to my car and chat on the way to the hotel? or are you staying elsewhere?"

"oh of course i do! its the least i can do in return for you saving my life" he smiles, a teasing-ness in his expression.

"yeah yeah, but a car ride be nice, or we could even take a small walk, please, i insist." he glances at the house, its not just that he wants to spend time with Andy, its that he wants to talk without risk of the woman coming back or listening in

Toby is a bit embarrassed by the hand grabbing but walks with him anyway. "Well,, uh. you might've heard about the goings on here, right? missing persons cases popping up all over the place,,"

"Hm. thats a good idea, but no, more or less cult activities." he sighs. "we've already arrested one suspect, caught him stealing literal fingers from a hospital." he shudders slightly.

He nods slowly. "Thats not even the worst of it,, we've found bodyless organs stranded in the woods, wether or not they're human we have yet to decipher."

"Oh, well thank you, that means a lot more then you can imagine." he smiles small. "i'd greatly like to go home alive,, we'll start working together tomorrow,, im a bit tired to keep going today." he sighs softly. "Trying to talk to these people is draining,,"

He smiles a bit, but theres a sadness in his expression. "Its nice to have a friend here in all this chaos."

"Just homesick i guess." He's not being 100% honest, but it is most of the problem

he nods. "Well, how're you doing?"

Toby hesitates then hugs him back. "well, no, i'll be ok, dont worry about me."

"More likely then not." he smiles faintly, honestly not the most sure. "I just need a good nights rest. we'll meet up at the town square tomorrow, alright?"

Toby laughs. "I'll try my hardest! you stay outta trouble yourself mister!"

"I will i will!" he smiles. "Now, i have to head back to my car so i can drive to the hotel."

~magical time skip to the next day~ Toby is late, unsurprisingly, he's probably just sleeping in, he was exhausted last night

a full hour has passed, he still hasn't arrived miraculously theres only one hotel in the town so its obvious where he is

on the way there he spots well, a police cruiser, slammed into a rock/tree, and sadly, it is in fact Tobys

theres blood on the tar, leading into the birch forest on the side of the road.

he reaches a clearing, theres a strange being bending over what appears to be a barely breathing body. theres blood on the grass. way too much of it

the being looks up sharply and gets up, holding out a bloodied knife. "get back." the person on the ground is Toby, his eyes are half closed, his breathing slow, too slow, theres a long slice up the length of his chest, and other such cuts/scraps/bruises along his body.

The being looks startled. "What? I fix!!" he exclaims raising his hands slightly, making sure to drop the bloody knife. Toby just- well he's just there

"Remove metal." he says softly.

the being leans down grabs the knife, quiet. "may i continue?"

he scowls slightly. "You make sure no one else interupts." he kneels down and begins his work again, but instead of working on the other cuts with visible bits of obviously not supposed to be there stuff, he's rummaging his hands in Tobys chest cavity, trying to find something

The person huffs and removes an odd looking long, splinter of metal from between Tobys ribs. "You sure?"

he then seems to stiffen and huffs. "could you turn around? i have to do something, and trust me, watching this wont be pleasent.." ((damn,,

Theres a crunching sound and Toby makes a soft noise of pain. The being sighs and begins to stitch up Tobys chest. "Hm, there. now for the others." he slips somethin into his pocket and nods, getting to work removing metal from the small cuts ((well i mean some of em did.

The being gets up. "There. he'll live. barely" he huffs. ((damn

Tobys eyes are closed and his breathing seems slightly better. The being watches. "you two are close?" ((can't wait for that to happen lmfao

"oh. perfectly reasonable. if im being totally honest that was my original plan." he sounds so, so calm about it. ((mmyes

"As rude as it may sound i doubt it." he smiles small. "I may seem small, but im faster then you. maybe not faster then a bullet, but you did say beat. not shoot." ((mwhahaha.

"ow." the being huffs. "Thats a bit much for removing a few non vital organs. besides. even if i'd stripped him of his insides, he'd live. witch craft after all, but he'd be a hollow emotionless entity, so i suppose that'd be bad." ((mwhehehheheeeee

"Theives serve jailtime, not kneecap removal." he frowns. ((heh.

"Your a brat. thats what you are." The being scowls and suddenly disappears. Toby makes a soft noise of pain. "gnnh.. wh..wha.?" ((rehf

Toby squints up at him. "mmn.. anndy..?" ((rhrh

"mmnn,, everything hurts." he complains, trying to sit up only to fal back down. ((efbgn3rgtr

Toby just seems to find comfort in Andys prescence, then theres something chilling Tobys pulse isn't right. its a dull, slow, off beat pulse. ((dfgf

"You,, stole a house,, annnd, told me, a police officer,, that you did so." Toby raises his eyebrows. ((yessir

Toby chuckles and shakes his head. "Dork."

"True." Toby nods. "Be glad im in pain and your my friend, or i might've had to turn you in." he's obviously teasing, he'd never arrest his friend-

Toby chokes slightly and chuckles softly. "Well, maybe maybe not." he smiles then winces slightly. "ack-"

"I'll try." he sighs.

He smiles small and gently rubs his thumb against Andys knuckles. "Yknow what i realized?"

"I do love you too much to arrest you." he chuckles softly

Toby smiles. "Oh good." he sits up and gasps sharply. "wh- ok. so what the hell happened to me?" he asks, lying back down

“What.” Toby looks confused. “So I’m missing organs. And my car is wrecked?”

“Well that’s sucks ass.” He huffs (Red flag #1: Toby only every swears when he’s angry. Not just casually)
