Linki hate to say it but it comes out of a good place of my heart when i say boycotting isn’t gonna do anything and it won’t last long
it’s great if you’re going to boycott youtube and stay off it but the likelihood of you staying off it for good unless you have a mindset made of steel is like 0%
for the people who stick there’s always gonna be several more people who go crawling right back to youtube because well i don’t wanna call it a monopoly in a sense but it’s just an extremely big corporation and a few thousand maybe even a million people leaving for a bit wont even make a teeny little dent in youtube’s profits
at the end of the day youtube’s big creators didnt even have the guts to make their own videos about the ai age verification cause they want to remain in the good will of youtube so all those creators you may watch are probably not transitioning to any website you plan on using

Linkif you had to use any alternative to youtube at all id recommend odysee it’s pretty easy to use and it’s gotten a lot of recognition lately as a potential youtube alternative (https://odysee.com) but if you want to remain on a youtube like platform and still get to watch videos free of the worries of youtube’s ai system try either of these websites, they’re basically youtube without the restrictions set in case you’re determined to be below 18:

these sites essentially are just youtube but open sourced and has the videos you might want to watch available on them so go check them out if you really are passionate about staying off of actual youtube
