Basics: To make something look slow, make the frames fast and draw/move your object by just a little every frame, or make the frames slow and draw/move your object by at least 30% (0%=No movement, 100%=Either off the screen or moved completely somewhere else). To make something look fast, make the frames fast and draw/move your object in a similar position but more further away from original position. To make something look move normally, make the frames 60-80 milliseconds long and draw/move your object by 30-40%.

Eye blinks: Yeah, I know most of you probably know this, but for y'all who ain't experienced, here ya go. First make the eye position open or closed or whatever eye position you are starting with. Then either make it smaller or bigger by 20-50%, after that make it smaller or bigger again by 20-40%. Once you get it into the open or closed position, copy the past frames and put them in reverse order. So if your eye was open and now closed, copy the frame that was behind the closed eye and put that frame infront.

Talking or mouth-syncing: This depends on what your character/object/etc. has to say. First do some sketches on what mouth positions you will do, then say what your character wants to say (You should grab a mirror and watch your mouth as you're saying it). You can pause your mouth to see what a word looks like when speaking. Now this all depends on the type of thing your using, for example, a dragon. They can move their jaw just like ours, front;back;left;right. When talking, the bottom jaw moves, NOT THE TOP (Unless their jaw is on a flat surface[or on any surface], moving of the top jaw[whatever you call it] is acceptable)! If you want your character talking slow, follow directions on the first reply to this comment. If you want your character talking fast, follow directions on the first reply to this comment, the same for medium speed. To get most accurate mouth-synced results, test how fast you talk, apply the same speed (Or close to the same) and that will really look like your character is talking.

BIGGEST TIP FOR ANIMATING -COPY THE MOVEMENTS FOR WHAT YOU ARE ANIMATING -LOOK AT ANIMATING TUTORIALS -LOOK AT REAL LIFE THINGS AND SEE HOW THEY FUNCTION -TAKE IN ALL THE RESOURCES YOU SEE ABOUT IT and most important, NOT ALL ANIMATING TAKES A DAY SOME TAKE A WEEK SOME TAKE MONTHS BUT HERE IS ONE THING YOU WILL NEED Positive breaks, they will help you relax, get new ideas, and fresh air. STAY TUNED FOR MORE NOTES ON THIS!

For tweening: (I am not great at tweening, I've barely done it) Set frame speed to 60-100. Layers will be needed for tweening, usually 3-7. Now draw a sketch of what the movement will be like, then draw the base of the object you are using on the layer above the sketch. Then for other parts, draw them and adjust them to how they are positioned, like if you have ears pointed down, start with that. Then slowly move them at first for the first few frames. Then make a few frames go faster, or move your object further from it's position. After making half of the tween, copy and move frames around, just like the step for eye blinks.
