We all have had a crush on a teacher or a waiter whatever when we were younger There’s like this cool sense around people older then you especially when your a kid and teenagers are around You can’t blame kids for thinking it’s okay to ask those people out but in some weird cases people say yes and then they will either blame the kid for asking or say they don’t know how to say “no”

You would rather let a kid down and tell them why it’s wrong then let the kid think it’s okay

What makes you a good childcare worker or just human being in general is drawing the line and teaching kids I was like 14/15 at the time but even then it felt wrong Now that I’m gonna be 18 soon and plan on working in child care it’s integral to recognize how to handle sensitive situations

My advice is focus on building relationships with kids your own age or adults your own age the only adult in childrens lives that they should be very close with is there parents and maybe there educators Until they are a adult themselves they can’t consent And also didn’t most of us get confused on what a girlfriend or boyfriend was once? We didn’t know what dating meant and we just did it because everyone else was

Someone would ask you out and you would say yes because why not? Most kids have that mindset, treat ppl way younger then you like you would treat any kid irl You DON’T treat them like ppl your own age or like adults under any circumstance That goes for anything

This isn’t me saying kids are dumb, even though they are sometimes But kids don’t understand everything about the world there minds are still developing Kids should be protected because when I was a child I was not and it was horrible Be the better parent that your parent never was

I’m not really down with ppl way older being friends with kids if they aren’t family or a educator It can normalize the idea that being close with adults is okay which is DANGEROUS That’s mainly why I don’t like ppl on here being my friends on discord There are two exceptions but that’s because the people wanted to talk to me in private about sensitive subjects they didn’t want to say in public and give them advice I’m here to help and solve situations Lider and Ginger are the only two friends I have that I’m close with

When you turn around 19-21 and up age won’t be as integral anymore But just during those developmental years 1-18 that it’s important to pay attention to age

I’m not sure what age range I want to look after when I get my ged and look for jobs I feel like a lot of people like babies and toddlers but once the kids reach the tween to teen years they get looked over more and neglected

I don’t want to be a teacher I want to be responsible to care for kids at home Ik kids at orphanages and the mental Institution need adults who care about them If I was a babysitter I’d take the kid out to the park or to the petstore Totally not bc I like the park and petstore

Ik the big question is like why don’t I have kids It’s because there’s already kids in the world who don’t have parents and honestly I still want to be able to go back home to my house and not worry about the responsibility of kids

I’d play Minecraft with little Todd and play dolls with Sally I don’t want to be some *****y worker that just sits around and doesn’t interact w the kids just to collect the money Or be one of the workers that yells and abuses the kids

I also love animals so if I had to gain some rep or education to start working as a care worker I’d be down with walking dogs or washing cats I don’t care if I get bit or scratched it’s inevitable I’m desensitized after that kitten I fostered

Kids can be annoying, rude, needy, insensitive, niave,ignorant, invasive etc but that makes them a challenge Children are one of the hardest beings to take care of and understand It takes a special type of person to look after or have one I don’t like parents who push responsibility of younger children on older siblings I don’t like parents who hurt or harm there kids and I don’t like parents who abandon there children or worse use there children to do there own responsibilities I joke about hating children but I never really have My mom though changed now wasn’t always a understanding mother I had to learn how to take care of her because of her drug dependency and she constantly talked about dark and disturbing ideas and experiences she went through when she was very young My father or my sisters father rather got angry and threw a hot bowl of chili ( this is random and ironic ik 😭 ) at me when I was really young but luckily my mom kicked him out the house before more potential abuse occurred

It could be theorized that because of how I was raised I feel in my element when caring for others It’s what I understood since I was very young I don’t think how my mom raised me was appropriate, but I forgive her for what she did And I want to be a better more understanding and active parent in other childrens lives then what she was in mine I will never be able to experience a “Normal” childhood like most others but I want to give the opportunity to children who still have lives ahead of them

It’s very complicated and awkward I don’t plan on dating anyone really in my life I don’t feel empty because I don’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend I infact enjoy the world better that way I don’t want to get married I just want a small group of close friends I know very well and enjoy hanging out with Which I already have My sister is really into dating and is like a hopeless romantic but the relationships always fall through and she never works on herself first I’m kind of glad I don’t need romance in my life

I got a glimpse of orphaned kids when I went to the mental hospital One kid had been in the program for 3 months ( you usually are supposed to stay 2 weeks ) because the housing was either full or they were causing problems I hated the mental hospital I couldn’t imagine being there for 3 months and seeing all the other girls leave you after you got to know them The people who watched us didn’t really seem to care besides one exception they just checked our wrist monitors every 15 minutes and told us to shut up if we were being to loud I had some close calls with cps and almost became homeless 2 times I’m not even sure of child care pays good, but I really want to do it because I feel like it’s what I would enjoy doing
