These beasts that will forever haunt my nightmares are called Razors. They make metal like bones grow anywhere on their body, but can pierce a major organ or artery and kill it. They will often be the result of people who have issues with their bones like osteoporosis and bone cancer(Yes I know those do not cause stronger bones) and people who frequently use melee weapons.
