hate the love at first sight trope because of how shallow it is and I would be fine with kataang if it was more of a mutual attraction relationship, but that’s not really how it is. I feel like aang is a bit too forceful and that makes me uncomfortable. Even though I don’t like kataang, I don’t really have a problem with kataang shippers. Normally, they’re just nice people enjoying their favorite ship. But because their ship is canon, they seem to feel like they have the authority to insult zutara shippers. Zutara shippers get so much hate because of what we ship and it really gets annoying. I wish people didn’t feel like they could just be assholes to an entire group of people simply because of that. Shipping wars in general should just stop. -anonymous

Avatar the last airbender is amazing. So amazing in fact, that I can’t even choose my favorite character because they’re all so great! However, there is something that kinda ruins it for me, and that’s the shipping wars. I love investigating this topic for seemingly no reason. I go online all the time just to see the weird debates going on in the fandom, people get so hostile about this stuff and it gets on my nerves.
