actually:
step one: think of personalities for your character
actions, walk cycles. all of that.
think of the design you will use for this character.
species are made for this.
think of a back story, they always need those.
now think of a name.
Thats too long tho, however they do need cat ears...or dog ears....or bunny ears... JUST ADD EARS!!!!
