The hairs on tarantulas are commonly used when in threatening situations to ward off possible pursuers they use there legs to kick off there hairs and if it hits a person it will cause itchiness and irritation

A molt is a type of shedding process tarantulas go through where they are highly vulnerable and can’t eat or drink or move

This revision is way more complicated so it would be impractical I like Maudis version better it leaves more creative liberty this is just a more accurate version of a tarantula As accurate as I can make it anyways

Having a tarantula as a character or persona is a hard task they are obviously very hard to convey emotion or expressions with like normal humans because of there faces and eyes It’s impressive MAUDI made one that was not only expressive and emotive but humanized as well

The character isn’t mine but tarantulas obviously can’t speak, if I was making a tarantula character I would make them mute I wouldn’t give them a mouth the same way MAUDI did because tarantulas have a weird type of mouth and the two appendages on there face actually hold fang

I’d also make the female characters 2 times as big as the males because sexual dimorphism is a big thing in spiders
