LinkUsed to not talk at all and use a whiteboard for years because of stutter and honestly I can’t hide it much but no sound comes out like I can’t breathe and my chest gets tighter and my rib cage shrinks??and I force it out.stutters are pretty painful,for some people it’s like drowning for some like a glass box getting tighter and you can see in their faces it’s hard unless you open stutter.so now after years of not saying stuff(swears r the exception,no1 can cuss n stutter)it’s hard to have convos w/out anxiety creeping in and making me hate the way I stop.not so much around friends n family but most ppl think it’s ok to make fun of ppl 4 that and that makes me want to stop talking too much.sometimes I’m quiet for days by accident but I have to practice mouth movement and review hundreds of techniques I learned w years ago.

LinkSome people have depression because you are robbed of speech and people think you are stupid all the time.its sad that you can’t ever have easy loose conversation without constantly thinking about how you talk and word switching and techniques and if you look to weird and are they staring and why did I put myself here and why am I talking why am I talking why am I talking stuff.i know my own name it’s hard to talk to new people and no one talks about people having hard times talking.even texting is full of the same stuff because you live with it every day.it is alone when you can’t say stuff or make friends or want to stop using damn cuss words in sentences to cheat instead of improving.to people who have speech impediments,you are a good person and be patient with yourself.
