Potaru grew up in a private town, that no one could leave. it was heavily religious, and Potaru grew up apart of their "prophecy". that a man of the sun will replace our star with their head. It meant that his head would have been cut off to be sacrificed to the sun, because of his horns. He grew up in fear, no one wanted to be around him or grow close to him, and soon his own parents neglected him. at the age of 18, on his final day alive, an eclipse happened, and during everyones panic (thinking they upset the sun) potaru finally escaped.
