I love both for various reasons. If I had to choose I'd pick cats though, here is my reasoning: They are very unique and have different personalities. They form bonds with their owners though are mostly not by their side at all times (it depends on the cat though, tbh) they are intelligent and cats will /tell/ you when they need something. They will let you know what they are feeling and when, etc etc.

Cats. I love dogs, but here I would prefer cats. I love cats. I loved them since 2nd grade.
