Once more we greet the dawn aboard the International Globetrotter, bringing you todays announcements is none other then me, your captain, Arceus Flynnigan, i do hope you have enjoyed your rest, but alas, artificial dawn has arrived and we’re nearing our destination, The Chipped Star, quite the glorious sight indeed, tourists, make your way down to the starboard, and the research team should head down along the main route to your stations.

The Morning broadcast is abruptly cut short by an ear splitting scream, it was inhuman, certainly not the captains voice.
Power was cut, people were in shambles.
Pirates. Pirates had boarded the Globetrotter.
Not just any pirates, the Deimos crew itself.

Linka notorious band of pirates known not only for taking in any and all who open themselves up to their ways, but also for never leaving without what they want.
As you make your way down the halls, panicked and trying to find your way to a safe space, stumbling over fallen people, objects, darting past fires and barely avoiding the onslaught of gunfire and people lunging at each other.
you run into them.
Captain Arceus, and Captain Winters.
As archaic as swords where these days, the two were dueling it out, aiming to keep casualties to a minimum, hence the lack of using firearms. There was desperation on either mans face, clearly they where stuck in quite the stalemate, you’d never taken Arceus as the type to hold his own against such as Winters, he’d always felt more.. “captain for looks” then “captain with skill.”

Jarvis freezes, as scary as he looks he is not the bravest of men. He lets out a panicked strained noise before looking around, he was looking for anything heavy he could use to throw at the enemy.
Oooo a globetrotter)
Arceus managed a glance at his crewmate, an expression of concern on his face, he recognized the noise, since he’s probably been working with Jarvis for awhile, the duel continued, moving along the open cabin space, Winters was more irritated then tired at this point, however, poor Arceus? He looked exhausted, his movements weren’t as calculated, his grip was slipping.
Jarvis managed to nag himself a large piece of broken glass, it was long, but not long enough to be a sword. Jarvis ran over to the scene, his boots loud and his breathing horse. He'd get closer, and try and jab the glass at the man/thing attacking Arceus.
The glass certainly didn’t do much, but it was enough to pull the hulk of a mans attention away from Arceus for a split moment, and that moment was all the tired goat captain needed to drive his sword under the pirate's metallic plating.
However, instead of collapsing in an instant, the massive man turned and slammed Arceus against a wall, the sickening sound of antlers shattering and maybe even other such bones was horrifically audible as Winters stumbled back, gripping the blade embedded in his gut.
Fury.
Pure. Fury.
Jarvis dropped the glass, his heart dropping at the sound.
He had a trick up his sleeve, one he hated using. The fungi that lived on him and within the suit he whore was toxic, there was a skin irritating acidic green bacteria that found its home on the fungi, making it glow its toxic green color.
He didn't hesitate before grabbing the goat man with his exposed infected hand, waiting for the bacteria to spread. This wouldn't kill the man in this low dosage, but it would hurt a while hell of a lot.
Winters shrieked before grabbing Jarvis’s head, slamming him against the wall as well and quickly retreating out of the room, cursing wildly in an unknown almost robotic language as he darted off to return to his crew.
Arceus was on the floor, trying to pull himself upright, blood smearing his head, hands, and parts of his face, managing to get up he moved towards Jarvis, visibly concerned.
Jarvis arched his back in pain rolling slowly over as his body trembled, a small crack was now visible on the visor of his space helmet. He was more in shock than in pain, he let out a terrible sounding hack after a moment.
Arceus moved over, hesitantly putting his hands on Jarvis’s shoulders, pulling the other upright sitting him against the wall, his eyes had a droop to them, exhaustion was settling in, blood was running freely down his head, one of his horns had either snapped, or had been driven deeper into his skull, it wasn’t entirely clear. But either way, he gently put a hand on the side of Jarvis’s visor, visible concern on his face.
“Are you ok,,?” He mumrured
He moved his jaw slightly inside his helmet, a small sound of bone clanking together could be heard as he did so. He let out a horsed breath as he nodded slowly. He reached up and traced his hand near Arceus' broken antler, being sure not to hurt him. He tilted his head slightly and the purple lights on his suit flashed before a robotic voice spoke, "Will you be ok..?" the voice sounded staticy, the speaker must've been damaged.
He’d hesitate, looking more concerned as the bones seemed to click, gently taking Jarvis’s hand he’d press it against his cheek, giving it a small little kiss, a gesture the Captain was fond of with most of his staff members, hence why most viewed him as a sort of.. ‘captain for looks’ more then a strong one, he fit the stereotype of flirty clueless captain, however, it was simply just a custom for his species.
“I’ll be fine. I’m not hurt as bad as it looks.. your speakers busted.. and so is your visor.. if the medward is still in tact we’re getting you down there.. can you walk?”

"I think so yes.." He avoided touching Arceus with his infected hand. He tried getting up by using his infected hand, only using his gloved hand to gently put a little bit of his weight on Arceus' shoulder. Jarvis grunted as he got himself up, letting out a strained noise of pain.

He’d gently put his arms under Jarvis, hoisting him upright before sighing softly. “Sorry bout this..” he mumbled before hoisting the other up, holding the man in the suit bridal style before starting to make his way down the hall, slightly leaned against the metal surface, sirens blared still, blood splattered hallways and the two would end up stepping over bodies.
Arceus looked like he was going to be sick, refusing to look at the ground.
Jarvis trembled in Arceus' arms, his body was in so much pain, and it didn't help that his bones were already weak. He had probably broken a few of them.
Jarvis didn't want to look at anything, so he leaned his helmet into Arches shoulder, shielding his eyes from any of the gore.
Arceus continued, his eyes partially shut as they found their way to a barred set of doors, letting out a shaky breath he'd set Jarvis down gently, quickly punching in code after code before finally prying open the medical doors, luckily, the place and the med staff where untouched, the Deimos crew had some sense of decency. Gently hoisting Jarvis into the room Arceus turned to leave again, muttering to one of the doctors, Midge, about fixing up Jarvis the best they could.
Jarvis leaned himself against the wall, he tried saying something to Arceus, but his speaker has fully stopped working now, only static came out of it. He let out a frustrated grunt, he didn't want Arceus to get himself killed.
Arceus turned his focus to Jarvis, hesitating for a moment he’d give the other a smile, a soft,, warm smile. He knew what he was trying to tell him, but he’d quickly leave the med ward.
And with that, Midge and Tafts would quickly head over to Jarvis, Midge was their medical professional, they where completely untouched, yet a little shaken, meanwhile Tafts had been an engineer, he had several layers of bandaging around his person and seemed to be muttering curses constantly while he sat and started working on Jarvis's speaker.
"Hold yourself, Captain Arceus isn't a stupid person." Midge murmured, gently giving Jarvis a reassuring smile. "he'll be ok." The worry in their voice however,, showed they weren't certain..
He trembled and he'd lean forward slightly, he let out a horse breath, filled with pain. The speaker let out a beep, it was obvious he was eager to speak again.
Jarvis gestured his hand, pointing to his ribs, that's where he was sure he had broken something.
Tafts continued working, finally managing to pull Jarvis’s speaker back together, huffing a bit he’d sit back. “There, it’ll work, your accent’s be all off.. but it’s fine. Speaking is speaking.”
And with that? Midge would get to work, carefully beginning to fix some thing up, gently grabbing some more high-tech medical equipment to snap bones painlessly back into their sockets.
Jarvis breathed harshly as Midge worked, the purple lights on his suit flashed again before the robotic voice spoke, "I do hope Arceus will be ok.." He took in another deep horse breath "This whole situation is horrible.." he fiddled with his exposed hand as he lay and wait.
“Truly..” Midge murmured, gently continuing to fix up his bones. “This is why I asked for added security at our last stop.. this is Deimos airspace.. there’s no way we could’ve gone through here without them jumping us- but,, why? We’re just a research ship- what values do we have..? Just- sport?” Their voice broke a bit as they continued. “Did,,you see any survivors on your way here?”
Jarvis sighed slightly "no.. " he said quietly as he looked down at the floor. He was getting anxious, still wondering if Arceus was ok.
They'd hesitate and nod quietly, rubbing their arms.
Then, Tafts spoke, "Captain Arceus.. went to do that.. find any survivors.. handle any remaining pirates."
He let out a horse breath as he looked at Tafts, "he shouldn't be doing it alone.." Jarvis grunted slightly, "is there any of the other crew me members helping him..?" he waited for an answer eagerly, picking at his suit nervously
He’d hesitate and shake his head “As far as i know…? No.. he- he went out alone,,”
Midge finished up and stepped back. “Ok.. all your bones are fine now, but take it easy, you’re going to be sore for awhile ok?”
He nodded at Midge before looking back at Tifts, "That is not good.." he shoot his head "someone needs to help him.. if it wasn't for me during that sword fight i'm afraid he would've died.." Jarvis stood up straight, looking over at the door, "I need.. to help.."
(shook" gunna be a lot more typos while only being able to use one arm)
Tafts nodded, looking grim before gently grabbing his shoulder. "No,, no we- we can't. We need to keep you alive Jarvis. That's what he asked of us. He- he'll be fine-" he'd pause and grab his walkie-talkie, gently handing it to Jarvis. "Here.. just in case. You can talk to him ok? But not too much, we dont want to alert the Deimos or distract him,,"

He grunted as he looked down at the walkie-talkie, his hands beginning to shake. It was obvious he was upset, "i can't just.. sit around.." he said quietly before letting out a horse breath.
He’d hesitate and nod a bit, looking down. “We,, he wouldn’t want you to follow him, Jarvis. We both know this.. the captains stronger then he looks- a lot stronger, ‘specially considering he looks like a pansy.” He’d laugh a bit, it was a common joke onboard, about how the captain was quite.. fruity. (He is but still)

He'd grip the walkie and go off to sit somewhere, by himself. He wanted to be alone.
Jarvis sat in one of the corners, he'd tap on his visor time to time as he held the walkie up to his ear, listening for anything.

Static was all that was audible for a long.. long while then
“Tafts? Tafts are you there? I’ve found three. Three survivors. Wickens, August and Quint. Quint has some severe head trauma and is talking nonsense, have Midge prep a bed. I’m coming back.”
Jarvis jumped a bit, then he pressed down at the button before speaking "I'll let them know if they didn't hear already. glad to hear you're ok" Jarvis stood up and walked over to Tafts "did you get that?"
"Oh thank god- Jarvis! you're ok- thank you- I'm almost back."
Tafts nodded a bit and snapped his fingers, moving to help Midge with prepping the beds, gathering up some medical equipment too.
Then Arceus came in, followed by a snake man, Wickens, a human, August, and Quint, a skiddish rabbit scientist who very clearly had suffered horrific head trauma, it looked like his skull had been bashed in, he was completely missing one ear and was babbling senselessly, eyes half closed.
Quint was supported between August and Arceus.
Wickens looked.. completely untouched? The other three where clearly injured.
Jarvis' horse breath hitched when he saw the injuries, be began to fiddle with the walkie anxiously in his hands as he backed away to give the doctors some space.
"oh dear.." he murmured, the robotic voice sounding nervous and quiet. Jarvis then moved his attention to Arceus, scanning over him for any new injuries.
Arceus had a gunshot would still sizzling in his leg, limping a bit even, but he'd move to the med bed with August gently lying Quint down, Midge was visibly horrified as they quickly got to work, using the weird bone machine to start fixing up Quint's skull.
Arceus leaned back against a wall, he was.. pale. At least as pale as a fluffy goat could look, rubbing his arm he mumbled to himself before sitting upright. "I have to go out again. Theres probably more.. i can't believe out of a ship of thousands we have only.. what.." -frantic muttering- "10 survivors?"
He almost let out a squeak as he heard Arceus say he'd have to go out again, he shook his head as he walked over to him "Arceus you can't- go out in your condition.." he looked at the bullet wound and then back at him
He’d hesitate, looking down as well then lightly touching where his antler had been cracked off and pushed into his skull, he was silent for a long moment before shaking his head. “I have to, Jarvis. You know this. The captain goes down with his ship. And I’m not going down yet. So neither will this ship.” His tone was slightly vicious before he took Jarvis’s gloved hand, gently kissing it once more he locked eye-contact with him.
“I’ll come back. I promise.”
"then you can't go alone i- " he paused, taking a breath, "i'm going with you.." He gestured his exposed hand "my wounds are fine, and nothing you say can keep me from coming, i can't let you.. die.." the robotic voice seemed to break, filling with worry
Arceus hesitates, staring at him for a long moment, worry in his face before he sighs. “Fine,, fine- we’ll go tog-“
“I’m coming too.” August spoke up, his voice was soft, it did make sense he’d come with, after all he was one of the security staff onboard, he probably had more training then the rest of them, hence why he had so few injuries.
“You’ll need more then four hands, even if one of em is technically a weapon on its own. I’m in much better condition then Arceus.”
Jarvis looks at August, letting out a deep raspy breath. He didn't like the idea of being called a weapon, or being used as one. He then looks away before sighing. "well we better hurry, times ticking.." he murmurs
August made a bit of a face, mumbling to himself before nodding, and with that the three would most likely set out.
Out in the halls was.. a mess.. a gory mess of bodies and bits, August was looking forward, partially at the ceiling to avoid looking down at the bodies he stepped over.
Arceus looked.. sick.. gagging a bit and covering his face as he mistakenly stepped on one of the corpses, stumbling and shaking the blood off his hoof as he went. God he wished he had shoes.
Jarvis kept mumbling to himself, avoiding looking at the bodies as best he could.
He was anxious, but he didn't want to leave Arceus to do this by himself, completely ignoring the fact August was there. "any specific place you haven't looked yet..?" he asked, turning his head slightly to Arceus
Arceus hesitates before sighing. “we only got to the Cafeteria, we haven’t checked any of the rest of the ship,, Wickens has been using the maintenance vents,, maybe we should go through them to? But i don't know how well all of us will fit.. the vents have walking room, but the entrances are.. small.” He murmured, watching August as the man picked around the bodies carefully,
“If we can find Gub or Zuggs i think we'll be set to start sending out shifts." August muttered out loud. "The three upper staff members,, each could take out a team,, we can hunt for survivors and meterials. Maybe we can get a life pod working.."
He thought for a moment, fiddling with his glove, "do you think i'm small enough to get into the vents..?"
Jarvis was indeed small compared to most of the staff and crew on this ship, considering he was very much human, just raised from the dead.
“Well,, you are shorter then Wickens, you’d certainly fit, its Arceus I’m concerned about, not only is he tall, but his horns might get all caught in the upper grates, that’d cause quite the issue..” August added on, shaking himself a bit as they stopped infront of one of the Janitors closets. “The vent shafts entrance is here, it’d be a safer mode of transportation, but we’d have to see if Arceus will fit first..”
Arceus made a little face, scowling before sighing and nodding.
"and if he doesn't..? i suppose you'll take the hall then..?" Jarvis scammed around them, seeing if there was any enemies before he looked back at August. "and we better be careful.. i don't know if i put a target on my back after what i did to Winters"
He’d nod. “And if you did, you need to take the vents, your watch should have a map, the little blue lines are the vent shafts, however, the one above the eastern hallway, theres a grate. You need to jump over that one or it’ll fall out from under you.”
Arceus sighs softly and gently heads into the room, carefully prying off the vent grate and anxiously looking over the opening. “..Maybe Jarvis should head in first, he could pull me in if something goes wrong..?”

The duel progressed, Arceus’s hands were slipping, slicked with blood due to using them as added guards, probably not smart, but its what he’d had.. on hand… {haha anyways} He briefly glanced at Cami, giving her an expression that seemed almost desperate, before Winters blade found its mark, digging into the goat man’s shoulder, tearing into him rather deep.
This gave Cami her shot to do something.
Winter stumbled back, screeching and snarling as he gripped onto Cami, digging his robotic fingers into her body with a merciless cruelty, tearing into her flesh and the meat underneath with sickening precision, before slamming her into a wall, stumbling back and glaring at the demonic woman.
“You.. B!tch.” His voice was barely a whisper, a snarl even, all of his eyes fixated on her now, before he looked at the bloody little goat captain who was simply on the ground, a grin crossing his face.
“Now.. Him. Or me?” His voice was almost flirtatious now as he stared at Arceus.
||Cami groaned furiously rubbing her sides and shoulders, she got to her feet with a small wince as she rolled her shoulder shaking off the stings of pain. She smiled fiercely||
“I’ll decide later, little bush you know?”
[She wiped off a small droplet of blood that was running from her nose|| “You take your pick.”
He'd laugh, it was a sickeningly metallic sound. There was something.. wrong.. about it.
"Oh kid." His voice was incredibly amused as he rolled his own shoulders, flicking the blood off his fingers as he held up a hand. "I'd say.. considering where that sword went. You have two minutes till your lil cap'n is done for. You'll have to run with him. Or waste your- no. HIS. time with me."
“Alright Deal.” ||She cracked her knuckles quickly before shaking out her arms|| “I kinda like the fighting you know? But if Arcueus is dying we’ll be on our way.” [She trotted over to him before quickly gently picking him up and throwing him over her shoulders, she looked back to Winter mockingly waving goodbye before running off with Arcueus||
He’d chuckle softly and watch them leave before vanishing back deeper into the ship.
Arceus was still conscious, however it was clear the tendons in his arm had been severely severed, he wasn't going to be able to move that limb at all, the blood was flowing with such high amounts of force it was clear, an artery must've been severed.
Arceus was breathing heavily, using his other hand to try and hold his arm back in place, his eyes wide and horrified. “We need something to stop the bleeding- if we need to just loose the whole arm its fine- i can live without it- we need to find Midge- the med ward. They wouldn't touch the med ward. For pirates they have weird morals-“
||Cami slapped her own face as she groaned|| “Right! Right, alright how are you feeling?” ||She ran over to him again before quickly picking him up as she began to run in the med ward’s direction|| “Light headed, Sleepy? Anything that may mean you’re dying?” ||Worry was visible on her face as she continued to run, skidding around corners||
“A little dizzy-“ he’d laugh a bit, leaning against her slightly. “But I’ll live- im fine- it’s.. it’s not a lot of blood”
He was lying to himself. It was a lot of blood.
Running through the halls they’d stumble upon motionless bodies, splattered gore, and various other horrors. They may leave the med ward untouched. But they killed.. many..
“God- what the hell is wrong with pirates…” ||She muttered to herself, as she was distracted by her thoughts she tripped over a body letting go of Arcues and falling to the ground. The med ward was right at the end of the hall, she groaned lightly as she laid on the floor, she had fallen on her knuckles due to her trying to brace her fall so they had been busted open. Every part of her body hurt at this point as the open wounds that Winter had made, she continued to lay on the floor as her knuckles continued to bleed. She pointed at the med ward then looked to Arceus with a hopeful smile|| “Go on, I’ll catch up I swear.” ||Damn she was- dramatic-||
Arceus mumbled to himself as he pulled himself up, pushing with his busted-up arm as he stood, mumbling under his breath as he knelt down, hoisting his functioning arm under her he’d pull her up, panting heavily. "No. We're going together-"
He’d nod, god he looked.. pale. Well- as pale as a fluffy goat man could look. his breathing ragged he’d push into the med ward
There where four people, three med staff, and Tafts, the engineer, Tafts seemed pretty busted up, Midge, the head nurse, was fixing him up, muttering under their breath.
||Cami stared at them for a few moments for clearing her throat and pointed to Arceus|| “Mind helping him out hm?” ||She seemed to growl the words at them, she could care less on how she was doing she just wanted to make sure Arceus was doing okay|| “Just make sure he doesnt die alright? I’ll wait outside I guess, make sure No one’s out here.” ||Cami slightly hobbled out the door then leaned out the wall, she kept looking at the hall that opened up to the rest of the ship||
Midge moved quickly, grabbing Cami’s arm and yanking her back inside, hurrying her towards one of the medical beds. “Sit. Tibs will tend to you.” And with that Midge would be over with Arceus, working on his arm, visibly concerned.
Tibs, one of the med staff, moved over to Cami rather hesitantly,

||Cami snorted as she sorta fell onto the bed, she rolled her eyes then looking at Tibs. She was pretty unfazed by his hesitation but flicked her tail as she sat there, she kept looking out the door as if she was expecting something to come flying through it. She shook the feeling of fear away she sat sat there waiting for Tibs to do what he needed to||
Tibs stared for a long long moment before getting to work, pulling out the medical equipment he began to work on fixing up the hole in her side, gently pushing the flesh back into place with his tools.
Midge seemed incredibly anxious as they began to work on Arceus, mumbling and cursing before pulling the curtains over to cover what they where doing
||Cami turned her head slightly as the curtains were pulled closed, she shifted slightly as she began to grow anxious herself. She was still worried that Winter was still out there and searching for them, though she was pretty hopeful that he was long gone. Hopefully….||

Midge’s furious cursing was audible and the other med staff was quick to duck behind the curtain, Tafts moved towards the door, staring for a long moment, hesitance eating into his core as he stopped, quickly turning out the Med ward lights, silent.
Screams tore through the halls.
Gunshots echoed through the walls and Tafts seemed to visibly flinch, panting heavily as he tried his best to barricade the door.
“It’s fine- we’ll be fine- they don't- they don’t.. they dont go to the med ward.. they-..” he hesitates, worried.
||Cami got up from the bed pushing Tafts pretty roughly from the door before quietly scolding him|| “SHUT UP-“ ||She turned to the door again listening carefully, then turning to Tafts again|| “Get everyone to the farthest corner of the room alright?” ||She seemed to growl at him as she spoke||
He’d go silent, staring at Cami for a long moment, trying to calm his breathing, the med ward was pitch black now, the screams and gunfire the only sound, he'd hurry along and in hushed whispers talk to the others before returning to Cami, muttering a soft. "They can't move Arceus.." thats all he managed to say before something slammed against the door

They'd thrown a body at the door.
||She groaned, then flinching back at the sound of the body hitting the door. She began to get lost in her thoughts before rolling her eyes|| “Just tell them to stop for a moment…” ||She turned to face the door as she motioned Tafts to move back just in case they broke it down||
Hed hesitates and shake his head. “They- they can’t. He’s not stable- they,, had to amputate his entire arm. There wasn’t any chance at saving it, they have to get the bleeding stopped before they can move him-“
the body was visibly dragged back away from the door, and someone proceeded to knock, a low, seductive voice echoing in the halls, it had a snake-like quality to it.
“Nooow nooow.. open up and we wont hurt you little doctor”
“We know you’re innn theeeere” the voice was closer now, a clawed finger trailing down its surface, tearing into the metal of the doorway. “If you don’t open the door.. and say hello.. I’ll have to blast it off its hingesss.. and kill eaaach and eeeevvvvvery one of you.. even the few little survivors you have in theree.”
Tafts moved back rather quickly, gently standing infront of the bay that held Arceus, Midge and the other two doctors, as Tibs had joined them.
||Cami hesitated before slowly reaching to open the door, she looked back for a second then back, letting out a sigh then opening the door. She tried to seem okay but she was still bleeding a little bit, as the door open she quietly asked|| “What do you even want with us…”
A slithery snake-like creature of a man was at the door, giving her a small smile he’d gently lift a little badge up, ‘Wickens’. It was a Globetrotter badge. And that was in fact Wickens, the local janitor, somehow he’d slipped past all these Deimos pirates undetected.. odder and odder.
He’d nod a bit and slipped inside, smiling slightly as he slunk along the med ward, humming to himself as he did so, how odd.. if it was Wickens here.. who threw the body..?
He’d frown for a moment before smiling small. “Well besides the one’s frivolously lining the walls? No.”
He’d nod slowly, making his way down along towards where Arceus was, humming to himself as he peeked behind the curtain. “Eeesh.. quite the mess back there,,”

Midge then proceeded to shove the snake out of the room, cursing at him in another language.
Wickens raised his hands and shook his head, heading out. "Shooould.. we go out and find any survivors?" He'd nudge Cami. "It's what Arceus would do if he had an arm."
Wickens shrugged and moved to the door. “I heard Quint out there screaming his fuzzy little head off when i was headed down here.” He said it so casually, so naturally admitting he heard a fellow crew member screaming and just continued waltzing down to the med ward. What the fickle Wickens.
“yep. Cmon.” And with that he’d slip out the doorway and headed down the halls with no real manner of caution, then, halted infront of a closet and opened the door, ..one of the janitors closets?
“C’mere. We can take the maintenance vents. Simple, easy, quick. Got through them which is why i’m completely unscathed.” He’d snicker a bit.
And in first he went, slipping into the rather small gap with ease, maybe because he had more flexible bones then most, however, as tight as the vent shaft was, it opened into walking room rather quickly, although one as tall as Wickens still had to bend over, anyone around 5’9 would be brushing the ceiling.
“Now. Be very very quiet. The vents echo” he mused as he continued along, his footfalls barely making a sound.
||Cami squeezed out of the vent and slowly lowered herself into the room, she made a small thud as she hit the floor. She looked to Wickens with an embarrassed smile as she started to follow closely behind him|| “So, how long have you been going through the vents?” ||She asked in a pretty hushed voice||
Wickens gave her a reassuring rather fang filled smile before turning and continuing along, holding a webbed hand back behind him almost as a guide for her to grab if she needed, after all, he was moving rather quickly.
"Oh i learned about these from Wub." His tone dipped slightly, waving from his cocky flirtatious tone, did- something happen to the spunky and spiked engineer? “But uh,, I’ve been wandering them since the first hit, usually sleep in here actually, its warm. And yknow. Cold blooded.” He continued, turning left after a bit. “Watch your step. That grate is loose.”
“Yeah I get it, I mean not really- but I get it enough.” ||She stumbled over the grate but continued to follow behind him|| “I don’t get it, out of all the ships out here why did the pirates choose this one? It’s just- odd?” ||She seemed unsure of what she was talking about, mostly speculating every word she said||
“Research ships usually have cool stuff on em, if you can find where they hold their cargo. Could be anything from historical research to valuables to even biological research. And in some cases? You can barter with the Big Guys for the lives of some of the workers. Smart move.. weird.. but smart. If you know whats onboard.” He’d stop at a grate and kneel down, peering in before making a face of disgust. “..oh Quint- what’d they do to you..” he mumbled under his breath.
Slumped against the wall was a humanoid rabbit man, his body was still, and his skull appeared crushed in, he was completely missing one ear and there was blood- so much blood,, it was clearly Quint’s,, especially considering he was oddly enough the only member of the ship with violet blood that had an odd.. shimmer to it.
“Gods above and below.” He whispered before suddenly gasping and gently hoisting up the grate, leaping down and hurrying to the side of the crumpled corpse. “CAMI- CAMI HE’S ALIVE-“
||Cami covered her face a bit shielding her eyes from the corpse, though she moved her hand from her eyes when she heard Wickens leap down. She hopped down as well, though when he yelled she quickly covered his mouth||
“SHHH!-“ ||She listened carefully then snapped at Wickens||
“Your the one who said the vents have an echo and your over here yelling!-“
||She stared at the body and shivered|| “Anyways how do you even think that they’re alive?! Look at them…”
Wickens pried her hand from his mouth and grabbed her by the back of the head, moving her near the ‘corpse’ holding her uncomfortably close to Quint’s face
Then.. it was audible. *mumbling*. Quiet rambled mumbling. Quint was talking?? How was he still talking?! No matter. He was. He was talking- he was alive- barely.. but he was.
“He’s speaking. We need to get him back to the me-“
A bullet embedded itself in the wall near the two, footsteps hurrying into the room, the sound of someone reloading.

“Just get him back to med ward!” ||She hissed to him as she turned to the sound of the footsteps groaning||
“I never get a break I swear…” ||She mumbled, she looked around for something at least sharp. She rolled her eyes as she turned back to the footsteps, ready for whatever was to come||
Deimos pirate? No. One of the security team, a little human guy named August, he seemed in a lot better shape then Quint, but he certainly wasn’t uninjured. Pausing at the sight of the two he'd laugh softly, looking visibly exhausted.
"well I'm glad to see some familiar faces.."
“Well- I knew Quint was over here- couldn’t leave the poor thing- i was trying to find supplies- he’s in no state to move, so when i heard talking and movement and after all th.. the bodies- i just assumed it was more pirates,, better safe then sorry-“ he murmured before hurrying over to Quint, carefully using a cloth to dab at the blood on his head. “Luckily.. these rabbitfolk have doubled skulls., they only busted up the first one.. he’s ok- but probably too brain damaged to continue his research..”
“Can we at least pick him up? I mean if he stays here any longer he’s kinda bound to die, slowly and painfully.” ||She shook her head trying to move on from her aśshole of a comment||
“If you heard us some of the pirates must of heard us too, even if it risks Quint’s life we’ve gotta move.” ||She was hoping they had at least enough time to even get moving||
He’d hesitate and nod a bit. “Yeah, we can move him,, let me just-“ and with that he’d remove his coat, carefully covering Quints head, minus his mouth so he could breathe, tying it tight to soak up any and all blood that it could, and to keep the little rabbits eyes covered, the mumbling stopped, but his breathing did not.
“There we go.. he’s stressed.” He murmured. “Resorting back to instinct over precaution.. fair enough i guess but lets do this, Cami and Wickens, you two lift him. I’m the only one with a firearm. I’ll keep an eye out.”
“Alright…” ||She gently scooped up his lower half of his body, struggling a bit||
“God damn it-“ ||Her arm was beginning to hurt again, even though the flesh was all back in place it just felt like a huge hole was in her shoulder. But she continued to try and lift Quint, wincing at the pain||
Wickens was quick to help, hoisting up Quint almost like the little rabbit didn't weigh a thing, however he was uninjured.. and a janitor who’s pretty used to heavy lifting, so its no real surprise. “I’ll take em. You just hold the back.” Hed hoist his arms under Quint, letting the remaining head rest against his chest.
August gave a nod and began to creep along the halls, murmuring to himself and checking his watch as they went along, Wickens had a good hold on Quint, however the poor thing was twitching a bit, it was kind of sickening to watch, especially with all the blood soaking through the shirt over his head.
They passed body after body, and shockingly, there where two dead pirates. Recently dead.
||Cami shivered as they passed the bodies but continued to follow behind quietly, turning her head after a few seconds every time they passed a body or two. She didn’t like being out in the open like this at all||

August was mumbling again, trying his best to process things before stopping at the dead pirates. “..fresh.. theres another sur-“
A horrifically muddied scream tore through the silence of the halls and with that, August went pale, snapping his fingers at Cami and Wickens. “MEDBAY- NOW.” And he’d take off towards the screams.

August continued running, moving along the halls with precision, no longer caring for the bodies he tripped over, darting along he skidded to a halt infront of the doors to the Cafeteria.
Sprocket. Another of their researchers. Was in Winters hand, grasped with a cold tightness that was visibly splitting open her flesh, revealing the metal workings underneath, god her screams where horrific, especially because her vocal modifier had been ripped open.

||Cami skidded to a stop alongside August grabbing his shoulder and turning him to face her, her eyes were cold and filled with mixes of emotion, worry,fear,anger, and more.||
“Don’t run off like that! This is what happens!-“ ||She looked up for a moment before seeing Winter, she stopped in her tracks completely||

August looked sick, staring over her shoulder, watching poor Sprocket, then, the sickening sound of a crunch and the sections of Sprocket's body were severed in a mere instant, and they’d splatter to the ground. Winter made a face and kicked the bits aside before looking over at Cami and August, a grin crossing his face.
“Well well well.. if it isn’t the creature and the demon.”
||She watched the bits of the researcher fall to the floor, disgust on her face as she looked back to Winter||
“What’s your end goal with the ship? Taking our discoveries? Destroying it and killing crew members for fun?” ||She and a low tone to her voice, almost as if she was growling at him. She stepped a bit closer now in front of August||
Winter wiped the blood and viscous from his fingers as he approached the two, a smile on his face, the black gunk along his face seemed to.. pulse.
“Ding ding ding. Let’s go with all of the above shall we? You have something.. and someONE. I want. You’ll give it to me, or I’ll rip apart your entire ship, and kill anyone and everyone in my way, until i do. Sound good? Good. Now. Step aside, and i wont fillet you like i did the sorry excuse of a cyborg.”
||Cami flicked her tail|| “Who?” ||She snapped, she was pretty angry as it was but his sassy tone ticked her off even more|| “Tell us who, then we’ll decide if you’re allowed to have them.” ||She seemed pretty set and stone of her choice or words, now she waited for his response||
He’d smile and continue his way over to the two, his eyes focused on them, smile widening. "I would like, Co-pilot Zuggs, Doctor Bllū, and a former solider turned private body guard named Quincey. Those are who I'm here for."
Winters stood, towering over her.
“Haven’t seen a single one of them, maybe because you and your crew probably already kill them!” ||She Blurted out, she heaved back and forth as she breathed deeply.||
“I’d get out of here if I were you, there’s nothing left for you but dead bodies…” ||The words stinging to her but she knew that it was as real as what had just happened||
“This ship is massive. Your word means nothing. You had better help me find them, or go off and hide knowing I’m killing more people while i look. If i find their bodies? So be it. If i dont? So be it. But I’ll be leaving with them dead or alive. So i will be finding those corpses. Or the living. We’ll see wont we.” He’d pause, a smile crossing his face.
“How’s Flynnigan doing? He dead yet? Or will Wretch have to kill him when he gets to the med ward?” (Flynn is Arceus)
||Cami’s eyes softened at his remarks, then she turned her head slightly looking to August with desperation in her eyes as if she was pleading him to go save everyone in the Med Ward. Then she turned her head back to Winter||
“That’s none of your concern…” ||She paused for a moment then took a shallow inhale|| “Look- I’ll help you find them, but as soon as we do you and your crew are out of here. Deal?” ||She wasn’t kidding around||
August gave a slight nod and was quick to dip off out of the room.
Winter took note and smiled, a wide grin crossing his face as he tilted his head. “Good girl. Now. Let’s see.. you best lead the way Hm? Oh. And do keep in mind what happened to the cyborg will happen to you if you step even slightly wrong. Yes? Yes. Good.”
“I get it, your a big scary half metal man…” ||She mumbled to herself as she started to walk out of the room and down a hall||
“What do you even need with them? I mean yeah they’re kinda important but not to the degree of needing to destroy our ship/home.” ||She continued on her way mumbling under her breath as she continued||
He’d rest his hand on her back for a moment, smiling warmly before continuing along, that's all he’d do, a subtle threat, he wouldn’t be answering any of her questions, not even a little bit.
And so, picking past bodies, they'd make their way along, unfortunately, winter had no respect for the dead, any bodies that dared lie in the way of his boots where stepped on, the sickening crunch of bone and flesh was periodically audible.
||Cami closed her eyes anytime she heard the crunching, but she continued walking just waiting for him to either see them or give up as she was loosing hope. It felt like they had been walking forever even though it probably was only for a few minutes at the least. Her tail flicked nervously as she began to fidget with her hands and talking to herself, it was pretty normal of her to do this but for anyone that didn’t know her personally it seemed pretty strange.||
He raised his eyebrows and continued, humming to himself before pausing. “..Ah.. Doctor Bllū..” and with that he moved forward to a small man crumpled on the floor, he looked.. broken, but in better condition than Quint had been, and with that? Winter would hoist the doctor up onto his shoulder. “Now the other two.”
They were walking for hours, ages even, then they found a barricaded room and Winter gestured for her to enter or knock, stepping back and disappearing into the darkness
Opening the door was none other than Quincey. The very security member that Winters was looking for, relief crossed his face and he yanked Cami inside, quickly closing and locking up the door again.
“Thank god,,”
They’d set up a makeshift hide out in here, and the members of this little group consisted of
Apple, another guard, they were.. in horrific condition.. a cloth over their body. Blood drenched the ground beneath them
Wormz was barely injured, just a few scrapes, it was tending to Gub, one of the pilots, they where also.. in horrific condition
But not as bad as Zuggs,, he was missing his legs and was slumped against the wall, he’d been horribly patched up and was still losing blood, he seemed.. unconscious.
“All of y’all have been hiding in here, This whole time?” ||She was pretty impressed that they had been able to stay here all along, though remembering Winter was still hanging around the room she felt a sting of dredge||
“You shouldn't have opened the door for me…” ||She said in a almost whisper like voice, she was avoiding eye contact with all of them as if she was a small child who had just gotten into trouble||
Quincey nodded a bit, sighing softly as he pauses, staring at Cami with an expression of confusion, until the door opened and his eyes locked on Winters with Bllū’s body, betrayal was written all over his face as he stared at Cami, hurt and hatred.
He backed up, grabbing a rifle off the ground, aiming it at.. Cami.
“..you brought him here. Why did you bring him here. I thought we where friends.” His voice was torn as he watched Winters enter, then he freaked out a bit as the massive man approached Zuggs body. “Wait- wait what is he doing?!”
||Cami let out a sigh as Winter walked in looking at Quincey with sad eyes|| “I really had no other choice, it was either everyone else’s life or a few people’s lives.” ||She closed her eyes||
“I didn’t want this to happen you know? But I dont want the survivors dying, you know?” ||She was truly sorry but the way she was talking sounded like she was being sarcastic, mocking them even||
Quincey watched Winter gently put his coat over Zuggs’ body, then, anger crossed his face, and he I clicked the safety off the weapon, taking aim at Cami, his breathing ragged and then? He’d fire. Aiming for the demon ladies' legs he took her as sarcastic and cold. Not genuine. And he wasn’t about to let a traitor walk free if he had any say in it.
||She didn’t feel it at first but after a few seconds she dropped to the floor as she grab her right leg, the bullet had almost missed but just by looking at her leg you can tell there was no exit wound as the bullet had got stuck in her leg. She let out yelp of pain as her face scrunched up, she was crying from the pain… wow a demon crying, now ive seen everything||
Quincey was grabbed next, and after a string of cursing and a small tussle
Winter and the three crew members where gone, and Wormz was there, staring at Cami with an expression of sheer heartbreak, picking up its gun and pointing it at Cami.
“..Explain.”
||She was looking down, but as she explained you could hear her voice cracking and breaking as she spoke||
“I really had no other choice, either I had to help him or he’d destroy what’s left of the ship!” ||she turned to the door to make sure Winter was really gone, then she turned back to Wormz as she spoke in a hushed tone|| “Arceus was in the Med Ward, I couldn’t let him kill him if he’s still alive…”
Wormz hesitated, it’s eyes where narrowed and it seemed to be trying to figure out if she was telling the truth, the mention of Arceus however drew its attention, it'd lower its weapon and stare, wide eyed. "Arceus is alive..?"
“Im hoping so, he had to get his arm amputated…There was- a lot of blood.” ||The thought hurt her more than the pain in her leg, speaking of her leg she seemed to be bleeding a lot herself. The bullet must have hit a artery in her lower thigh (Just taking a wild guess on where the bullet went) because the bleeding was still pretty bad, her hand was almost coated in blood from holding her leg.||
Wormz shook its head, mumbling to itself before moving over to Cami, hoisting her up and moving aside, gently using a cloth to wrap up her leg. “we’re going to have to get you, Wix, Apple and Gubs out of here,, i can't leave any of them,," It'd hesitate, staring at the barely moving body of Apple. "..But.." it didn't dare finish that sentence, they both probably knew the amount of blood pooling around Apples body wasn't a good sign. They where probably dead, if not close enough that they were no longer a priority.
||She winced as Wormz moved her, tears still rolling down her face|| “I’ll make it, don’t worry. Get the others out first. The wound is fresh so I’ve still got time until it becomes a real problem.” ||She chuckled to herself, she was trying her best to brighten the mood in any way|| “Listen, get to the Med Ward as fast as you can. Survivors should still be in there, take either Wix or Gubs first. I dont know if Apple is going to make the trip.” ||She gently grabbed Wormz shoulder|| “Take the vents, it’s the safest way.”
Wormz hesitated, continuing to tie tighter, mumbling to itself before sighing softly. “We take Gub first. They're in the worst condition besides Apple.. can you walk? I'll get you and Gub down there, and take someone else back here for Wix and Apple.. apples.. body." It's voice broke as it stared at the cloth covered form, covering its mouth. "..Or are you going to stay here with them? Tend to apple.. see if they'll make it..?"
“I don’t mind staying here for them, plus my leg is still bleeding a good bit so I don’t think walking would’ve been a good idea to begin with” ||She looked to Apple with sad eyes as she struggled to push herself more upright, then looking back to Wormz|| “Like I said, take the vents, I don’t think any of the pirates know about it yet so it’s bond to be a good way to get there.” ||Cami gave a weak smile|| “I’ll see you on the other side buddy.”
It’d nod a bit, clearing its throat before gently hoisting up Gub, thankfully he wasn’t super heavy, thanking the gods above and below It’d hoist him over its shoulders and stumble a bit. “Thank you,, Cami- please,, Wix is ok,, She’s been tended to and her wounds are covered, but Apple.. i.. please stay with them. Try to help them- if- if you cant i.. i dont want them to die alone.” It’s voice broke and before it could break into tears it’d quickly move into the vent shafts, ducking out of sight, and disappearing into the ship.
||Cami let out a deep sigh as she turned her head to Apple, seeing their pool of blood made her feel light headed. Though she started to shimmy her way over to them before getting almost side to side with them, she leaned back against the wall (if there’s one, again assuming) and looked at Apple.||
“Poor thing-“ ||Though she closed her eyes after a bit, starting to daydream as she waited||
Apples body twitched a bit, they where certainly still breathing, but barely.. oh just barely, the blood was still pooling and the edges of the deep crimson cloth where visibly white, good god.. what had happened to this person,,? I mean,, she could certainly look. If she dared.
But Wix, another member of the security team, came slightly limping out of the back, panting heavily, she'd clearly been under a lot of gunfire, her side and face where bandaged up and she was clearly whoozy, her ice-like arms stained a deep violet color.
"Cami..? Where'd- hhah.. Where'd Gub and Wormz go..?" Her voice was weak, a lot different then the usually commanding and stable presence the woman had before.
||Cami’s eyes shot open as she turned to Wix|| “Wormz took Gub to the Med Ward, they’ll be back soon enough” ||She gestured Wix to come sit next to her and Apple as she gave a soft smile|| “We’ll have to wait but that’s alright hm?”
||She wasn’t usually this- caring? She usually had a cold personality but I guess slowly edging towards death does something to you||
“And,, and Zuggs and Quincey?” She murmured, sitting near Apple, gently resting a hand on the bloodied. Chest of the cloth covered corpse, guilt in her expression as she murmured what sounded like.. a prayer? “Oh its fine,, its whatever, Quince probably went with them.. yes.. yes of course. But How’s your leg? Pirate get you,,? Damned Deimos.. let me see what i can do..” she’d lean over, lightly poking at the wound and starting to take some of her own bandaging off.
||Cami flinched at the question of Zuggs and Quin, she didn’t want to lie to Wix but she didn’t want her to think she was a traitor|| “They were gone before I got here- I think…”
||She noticed her taking off her own bandages and stopped her, tying them back up|| “No no no! It’s okay, really! But uh yeah, I guess you could say that a pirate got me..heh…”
“Ah.. I hope they’re ok.” She murmured before just shaking her head. “No. No. You’re losing blood, this injury quit bleeding a while ago.” She’d smile a bit, it wasn’t entirely the truth, but it wasn’t a complete lie either. So she’d take it off and quickly use it to tie a tourniquet on Cami’s leg. “There. Stopping the bleeding.”
“Fine…” ||Cami winced as Wix tied the cloth around her leg, but a small hint of relief appeared on her face once it was completely tied on|| “Thank you…” ||She turned her head so she was now staring straight, as she closed her eyes and began to relax||
“Might as well get comfortable.” ||She snorted as she left out a sigh||
Wix curled up a bit, pulling her tail around herself as she stared at Apples body, guilt in her expression. “..maybe if I had been faster?” She murmured suddenly, seeming quiet once more.
"Apple is just a researcher,, i was one of their security team,, that along with Quince, although he was more stationed with Zuggs, Gub, and Arceus.." she'd shift her position. "..I didnt get there in time and-" she just rested her hand on the bodies chest once more. Silent.
She’d nod, quiet.
Then Tibs, August, and Wormz would return, Tibs making a face at Apples body, concerned, and with that they'd hurry over and gently gesture for August to join him, he'd move back the cloth and visibly gagged, stumbling back.
The description of how horrific the damage for Apples body is is not SFW lmao, so just.. it's GRAPHIC.. and horrifically disfigured and torn. Very nasty. Very bad.

Wix,, Wix didn't dare look.
||Cami only caught a glimpse of Apple’s body but immediately scotched away, being about a foot away she tried to catch her breath, she was absolutely disgusted but now she couldn't look away. She was taking shallow breathes and she couldn’t calm down. She was probably having some sort of panic attack because of how she was reacting, the bed bodies were enough but seeing it up close was on a whole other level||
August and Tibs where quick to cover up the body again, and hesitantly hoist Apple up. ...bits splattered along the floor as they did so.
August closed his eyes and let out a shaken breath before sighing shakily. “I dont.. think we c-“
“We can’t leave them.” Wormz murmured, rubbing its arms.
The two holding the body would nod, and make their way out with Apples corpse.
Wix and Wormz where still there, Wix had a hand over her mouth and Wormz was silent
||Cami continued to you know, be horrified and have a mental break down before calming down slightly. She cleared her throat as she took a deep breath, she struggled to her feet but the wound had mostly healed by now. She’d sorta hobble over to Wix and Wormz, her face blank before she spoke in a hushed voice||
“I think it’s best to leave this room, for good…”
Wormz nodded, quiet for a moment before gasping and pulling out a medpack from its bag, kneeling down it’d quickly pull a sleeve from the pack and strap it around Cami’s leg, the moment it was on it’d click something and the flesh of the bullet injury would begin to press itself back together, slowly pushing the bullet out of the wound,
Yes. It hurt.
Wix nodded a bit and was quick to limp towards the vent entrance. “Cmon-“

And with that the group would make their way back to the medward.
Where Arceus was out of bed and wandering about, his arm bandaged up, and just- gone./

||She gave a small gestured to the door leading into the med ward as she turned towards it, turning back to see if he was following her||

Arceus hesitated before nodding, heading on after her, limping a bit, looking fairly dizzy, a small smile on his face. “Hold on- before you tell me anything, I just need to let you know I’m genuinely proud of how you’ve handled everything so far,, you,, you have the makings of a fine leader,, if we all get out of this I’ll certainly put in a good word for a ranked position back at the main port.”
Cue that innocent,, friendly lil smile.

||Cami sighed and hesitated, she was starting to regret her decision but she couldn’t take the chance of everyone else dying because of her not doing what she was about to do|| “..Thanks, I appreciate that…” ||She closer her eyes giving a weakly chuckle|| “I’m sorry Arceus…” ||Just like that she hit him as hard as she could in his head (you decide we’re the hit lands) hoping it would be enough to knock him out, it probably was considering he almost died earlier- OH WELL!||

And with that he’d stumble, staring at her, oh boy, whatever she’d hit him with? It was probably rather heavy. And due to his previous injuries and all.. she’d jammed one of his antlers into his skull. And with that? He’d crumple. Not even letting out a sound. Not even moving an inch.

||Cami wasn’t expecting to have knocked out that easily but she began to grab his shoulders from underneath and started to drag him, struggling obviously- but she was making good distance from the Med Ward out of sight from everyone else. "Ralu", as the droid had apparently been going by for a few months now, watched the scene unfold from a distance- he needed to see who was winning. He'd figure out what to do from there; better to look first than rush in without thinking.

Arceus and Winter continued their duel, curses being thrown at each other, however, while earlier it’d been a struggle, it was clear now that winter was more irritated with the stubborn Goat then actually exhausted from the fight, meanwhile, Arceus was struggling severely, his hand slicked with blood from using it as a makeshift shield
He narrowed his eyes, summoning up one of his shields before promptly running up in an attempt to hit Winter over the head with it- the blow was only intended to stun, but it's up to you how well it lands.
The shield thunked Winter across the shoulder, he was taller then even the robot, being partially cybernetic himself. However, it gave Arceus time to sheath his weapon in the bigger man’s torso, his breathing ragged, however, Winter would force his own blade clean into Arceus’s gut. Wrenching it back and out to quickly flee down the halls. He’d done his damage, and he was pretty ****ed up himself.

The droid visibly hesitated- part of him wanted to chase after Winter, but he shouldn't leave Arceus bleeding out on the floor, should he?
"Shit-" He sighed ( can robots sigh? ), walking back to the little goat man in attempts to help him up.

Arceus stumbles, panting heavily, unfortunately, Winters’s blade was built for the giant of a man, so it was MASSIVE. And in so much? This was certainly a life-threatening injury. “We- we need to find Midge.” He whispered, trying to stay steady. “They- they wouldn’t attack the med ward.. they have some decency.. for pirates.”
"Can you walk?"
He glanced over his shoulder, mildly disappointed in the lack of a chase, but it was probably for the best. He probably would've walked right into an ambush, if anything.
“Yes- yes I’ll.. be fine. I’ll be fine. We can-“ his breathing was ragged now. “We can keep moving. I just- need something to keep the blood stoppered.”
He didn’t seem to believe that for a second. He wasn’t one to question authority, however.
“Aren’t you supposed to put pressure on it?” Ralu wasn’t well knowledged when it came to injuries, and it probably showed.
“Yes,, yes I’m alright. I’m doing my best with that.” He murmured, pressing his hands into the injury, gagging a bit at the blood pouring through his fingers, he knew he shouldn’t remove the blade, but it was definitely going to be annoying to travel with that in the way. “We need to get moving, Ralu.”
“Right. Sorry.”
He started in that direction, making sure Arceus was following him.
He would follow him, moving down along out of the cabin and heading down halls, doing his best to ignore the pain in his body and the corpses littering the hallways, his vision was blurring together, steps becoming less calculated, he even stepped on a few of the corpses, covering his mouth as he did so, looking sick, very sick.
“Are you sure you’re fine?”
He glanced at the bodies littering the floor. The board had always said to expect any human companion he got stationed with to act different during times like this. Maybe whatever Arceus was did the same?
He’d simply nod, continuing along, there was so much blood soaking down the front of his shirt, his breathing was ragged and he'd abruptly stop, slumping against the wall, staring at the blood soaking along his hands and clothes.
"Ralu." His voice broke a bit as he looked up at the machine, his expression cold set. "I'm not going to make it down to the med ward. I need you to go down there and-" he gripped his side a bit more. "And see what Midge needs you to do.. if they're still alive."
He stopped, turning around to face Arceus. It took a moment for the weight of what he just said to register.
"I doubt Midge will want me to leave you here."
Arceus gave him a small glare. "No. Go to Midge. They'll be fine. They'll understand. I know I won't make it down there, it'll be a waste of valuable med equipment that could save others. Midge is your top priority. Do whatever they need, and leave me here." He'd hesitate, pain flashing across his face as his voice broke.
"Please don't make me make that an order."
".. Okay."
He turned, continuing his route to the med bay without looking back.
And with that? The story of Captain Arceus is done. Another book of hundreds closed this day.
There were corpses littering the halls of the ship, and the medbay door was splattered with blood, but it seemed untouched unlike the other broken open doors, everything felt.. oddly normal.
Although it wasn't too surprising, after all, these pirates didn't go for the med staff.
He looked over his shoulder, making sure he wasn’t followed before opening the door.
There was a gun pointed at his head in an instant before the shaky voice of Tafts, the local mechanic, probably one who’d fixed Ralu if he ever needed it.
“Oh good god- Ralu. there you are- where have you been-? Are you ok? Have you found anyone else?”
Midge, the head doctor, quietly peeked out from behind a curtain, visibly relaxing when they noticed him.
He shook his head.
“I didn’t see anyone else alive up there. I was with Arceus, but..” He let himself trail off. He wasn’t sure if he should even try to explain.
Tafts’ expression darkened, he could guess.. silently he dipped his head, giving a small nod.
Midge hesitated, moving out and approaching Ralu. “what happened.. where’s Arceus?” Their voice was soft, they needed confirmation.
"Winter got to him. I tried to bring him down here, but he wouldn't let me." Ralu shook his head, meeting Midge's eyes. "He told me to help you however I can."
They’d stare for a moment before dipping their head, quiet, gently pressing their fingers together in a form of mourning. Before shaking themselves and clearing their throat. “He’s.. gone then. We need to make sure nobody else dies.. Arceus wouldn't- wouldn’t.. want that. We need to send people out to find others.”
"Is there anywhere on the ship that's designated as a hiding spot for things like this?"
They’d pause, looking grim
Then, Tafts spoke up; “In the docking bay, theres a small compartment in there with extra lockers, one of them leads into the maintenance vents, they're small, tight fit, and not a lot of people know about them. They lead throughout the ship, and even into a spare storage room that Wickens converted to a hide for himself, he is a snake, its right above the boiler, Arceus allowed it because not only is he cold blooded and probably needed it, but he also was always first to fix any boiler issues."
"Do you know if Wickens would've brought anyone there?" Ralu considered asking if he could go check, but he wasn't sure if he could fit in the vents. He highly doubted it.
“August and Quint where the last people with him, maybe they would’ve been brought in? But I’m not certain." He'd sigh softly and shook himself. "I could head out and try and find him,, maybe check the vents. I'm quick and small, I'll do fine, we'll keep communications open, just in case."
"That's probably the best thing we could do," He nodded, glancing to Midge, curious to see if they had something to say about that plan.
Midge nodded slowly. “That.. sounds smart. Theres not much else we can do.. everyone here is unharmed, take one of these with you-“ They’d hurry back and grab one of the med packs, specifically ones for closing wounds, it wouldnt do much for massive injuries, it’d just press the skin back together to temporarily stop any bleeding.
“You two go out and find them,, Ralu you’re strong enough to carry anyone you find,, and Tafts can fit through the vents..”
He nodded, fixing his gloves just in case they ran into any Deimos along the way. (god forbid he get his hands dirty smh-)
"Will you be fine here?"
Midge nods, smiling a bit. “They didn’t even touch the med ward doors, luckily as long as i stay in this uniform and in this room I’ll be ok. You guys be safe ok-?”
Tafts nodded and would take the med packs and tucked them in his messenger bag, sighing softly to himself. “Lets go,”
And with that he’d slip out of the room, holding the door for Ralu.
He offered Midge a small wave, before following Tafts.
He’d almost forgotten just how bloodied the halls were- keyword almost. The general gore everywhere earned a cringe from him, but little more. He wasn’t used to being on the receiving end of these sort of events.
Tafts continued along, trying his best to ignore the gore and corpses lining the halls, mumbling names as they passed by some of the still recognizable bodies, his breathing had elevated, he wasn’t doing good, due to Ralu being programmed for humans, and Tafts being more human then alien, his emotional responses where probably easier to detect, he was, as some would call him, a 'half breed', Human and Spixtin, a race of 'alien' folk who had more elongated and sharp features.
So his expressions were pulled more than expected, his eyes partially watering
Ralu made an effort to match Tafts’ pace, though it probably wasn’t exact thanks to the height difference going on.
“Try to focus on your breathing.” He offered. He could tell the situation was getting to Tafts, but they had to keep going.
He nodded a bit, trying to calm himself as he continued to walk, mumbling under his breath a little, more names, more bodies, more guilt. Then they reached the janitors closet. “We can take this one to get through the tunnels.”
“You know your place around, huh? Worked here a while?”
He hesitated at the door, unsure if Tafts wanted to go in first or not.
“Mhm. I’ve been here for what.. seven years? Ships existed for 15, I learned what i know from Wub, they've been here the entire time. Heh,, old man," His voice was solemn as he opened up the door and sighed a bit, climbing into the vent entrance before nodding a bit. "You'll have to bend over, its fairly short, but its wide enough i can spread my arms out comfortably. The entrance slot is.. small though. I can pull you through if i need to."
Ralu followed suit, pulling himself up with a muttered curse. Had the corps really had to make his unit so tall?
"You know where you're going, right?"
He’d nod and help Ralu through, pulling him into the main vent shaft, luckily, the edges of the vent entrance was mostly rubber, so clambering in for a probably slick robot wasn’t too hard., it wasn’t easy though. Definitely not.
“Course i do. I’ve even got a ma-“
Then, footfalls, light ones, but still existent would echo through the vent shaft.
He fell silent, willing the dull glow his eyes put off to disappear. It wouldnt be good if they ran into trouble in here- there wasn't enough room for a good fight, let alone a shitty one.
He tried to listen for where the noise was coming from, but the echo made that difficult.
August also froze, silent and leaning against the wall, gently taking his pistol from his holster, murmuring soundlessly, just mouthing words, names, the names of the people from earlier.
Suddenly from around the corner, appeared Wickens, a snake like janitor, pausing he stared at the two before laughing a bit.
“well- isn’t this a coincidence-“

He sighed, and hey look, he's glowing pink again, just dimmer than before.
"We were just looking for you."

“I was certainly looking for one of you.” The snake man would adjust his shirt, strangely, he was completely unharmed.
Tafts sighs softly before nodding a bit. “Alright,, is there anyone else with you-?”
“August and Quint. Quints in really bad shape though.”

"Where are they?" He questioned, casting Wickens a curious glance- strange how he'd gotten this far unharmed.. though then again, Ralu himself was doing fine so far too. Maybe he was too quick to judge.

Wickens nodded a bit and started moving along the shaft. “Down here, watch this grate its loose. And be quiet.”
Tafts followed along silently
He followed along as quietly as he could, keeping an ear out for anything out of the ordinary.
He wasn't sure how bad to expect Quints situation to be- he'd find out, he supposed.
Eventually Wickens reached a grate and proceeded to hop down, helping Tafts down as well.
Quint, a small rabbit-like researcher, was certainly there, though he was only recognizable by his uniform, his face had been bashed in and he was completely missing one of his long fluffy ears, he should be dead. He certainly had suffered enough damage to be dead, but his audible mumbling and the visible way his lips were moving showed he was, miraculously, still alive, if not severely brain damaged.
Tafts covered his mouth, looking disgusted, after all, it was a very.. very graphic injury.
Ralu got himself down, cringing at the clanking noise the action made. Can't exactly be too stealthy when you're an 8 foot tall machine made for combat.
He froze when he spotted Quint. That... probably wasn't great.
August bolted in at the clank, gun raised before pausing, relaxing his stance a bit and sighing between his teeth. “,,Just you guys.. thank gods. We need to get Quint to the med ward. Is that where you guys came from?”
Tafts nodded, he couldn’t look away from Quint however, it was just.. gods.
Wickens walked over and lightly tossed a cloth over Quint’s head, the mumbling ceased.
“Acts like a bird now,, moment you cover whats left of his eyes he quits the racket,, poor thing. Luckily he’s got a thick skull.”
“How long’s he been like this?” He knelt by Quint, but didn’t make any attempt to touch the little guy.

Reeks looked panicked for a moment as he saw the two. The spikes on his back poked out even more than before, showing he was feeling threatened, maybe even enough for him to make a move. But, he did know that if he interrupted, he could hurt himself and someone else.
"Winter." He said, in a ruff french accent.
Winters ear would twitch a bit, acknowledging his fellow Deimos crew member as he continued to duel with the little goat captain, his expression cold and almost annoyed as the stupid little twig of a goat continued to hold his own against the massive man.
He’d wave a hand slightly, ordering him to stay back, he had this. He knew he did. The damned weak little rat didn’t have much fight left in him.
Reeks nodded and backed away. Even though he wanted to say something. He was a big guy, but in a way he was soft. Only, winter should know that side of him. Because, to everyone else, he's just the big angry spiky French guy. But, he interrupted anyways.
"Winter, we shoul'df pity that little goat man...we have better things to do, then waste our time on a little twig."
Winter turned his focus on Reeks, his expression narrow, he seemed a bit irritated to handle the spiky Frenchmen in a manner he normally would, he was usually patient and honestly rather kind to Reeks, but currently? He was dueling with a moronic goat who was shockingly able bodied
And on that note, Arceus took his moment and rammed his sword into Winters' gut, digging it deep.
"W-Winter!"
He shouted, admittedly being concerned, becoming angry even. Reeks quickly ran over, his face filling with rage. And his spikes almost jumped off his hair, and back. Reeks then grabbed the "little" goat man, and gripped his throat, forcing the sword out as he gripped him.
Winter stumbled back, grabbing onto the hole in his gut, panting heavily as he stared at Reeks, commendable actions, he’d admit that much, but he had to stop the bleeding first, Reeks could handle the Goat.
Arceus struggled violently, trying to claw into Reeks' hand, panic on his face as he scrambled, kicking up his legs too to try and push him away.
Reeks let out a wince and turned to look at Winter. And as much as he wanted to kill Arceus, he dropped the goat man violently on the ground and quickly ran over to Winter to help me up.
"W-Winter, I'm..sorry, we have to go, now." He said in a demanding manner.
Winter struggled a bit, leaning against the man, he was losing blood, a lot of blood. His metal arm dug into Reeks’ side, his breathing ragged as he simply nodded, he must be hurt, badly, Winter was never the type to retreat, especially not off a stupid research vessel.
“..The others will handle it.” He murmured. “We’ll wait back at the Deimos.”
Reeks carried him off to the Deimos, holding his hand over his wound, while the other was trying to keep him upright to walk.
"Winter, how are you holding up? I shouldn't have run in like that. My anger has once again made me see blindly the situation. But, I promise you were going to..get you fixed up."
Winter was muttering under his breath, limping a bit as he used his metallic arm to push against the wall, supporting himself a bit more. “I’m fine. You’re fine. I would’ve been more upset if you hadn’t done nothin. But I do wish you’d popped that damn brat when we had the chance. If he can hold his own against me, he may be difficult for the crew.”

"If I need to, I'll go back for him. But, first, let's get you fixed up."
He sighed, putting him down to lean against a wall. And reeks, started to pry open the door to the med bay, looking inside to see anyone was there.

The Deimos medical crew was in fact onboard, consisting of a rather pissed-off alligator, a gecko, and a little lady with four sets of arms. The lady, who they simply called ‘Missy’ because she refused to give a different name even if asked, would hurry over and scowl, crossing all of her arms.
“Someone finally gut the bastard? Damn shame. Wish it where me” She was playing around of course, and was rather quick to take Winters from Reeks moving him to one of the med cots.
Reeks crossed his arms, rather pissed with the whole situation. He wanted to stay with Winter, but didn't want to linger around for too long.
"I'll be waiting for all of you outside, I want to make sure that bastard still isn't around... If he is, I'll kick his ass."
“Go get em, tiger.” Missy snapped before continuing to work at Winters's injuries.
Members of the Deimos crew where returning, there where a few injured, but most of them where spattered with brightly colored blood.. of other people. Clearly they'd gone on quite the massacre of the poor research vessel.
But this wasn't the full crew, there where 10 returnee's, clearly since the crew was about 600+ people there where more onboard.
"See you later, mademoiselle."
Reeks walked out of the med bay and grabbed himself a cigarette from out of his pocket. He then realized he didn't have a lighter and grunted, counting to walk down the hallway.
Missy nodded before getting to work on the others.
A man with fire along his fingers dipped past and would light Reeks’ cigarette, simple friendly gesture, as you do when you’re a pirate yknow. But meanwhile, on the GlobeTrotter (i assume thats where he’s going)
