"Great, now I'm hungry AND tired," Miquai muttered under his breath. He had been walking for days, and had only caught a single gazelle which he scarfed down.
Suddenly, he heard a noise in his path. He jumped into a bush and shrunk himself to blend in. What did he find?
It was a big cat, with the print of a leopard, huge teeth which were as sharp as the thorns on a bush, AND she was ten times the biggest hyena he had seen.
She swiveled her eyes around, and unfortunately spotted him. She growled menacingly.
"Help!" Yelped Miquai, although he knew it was useless. He closed his eyes and waited for her to pounce.
"What're you out here for, ya useless hyena?" She asked him.
"I-I didn't l-like
cl-clan," He whimpered.
She sighed, and he became less tense. "I won't hurt you. I'm here for the exact same reason.."
"You are?"
"Yes. Simolin was a jerk, and to think I could've married him!"
"Well, atleast your well fed," He said, noticing how thick she was food-wise.
"I'll hunt for you," The new creature said.
"I can hunt for myself! Who, and what, are you anyway?" Miquai wondered.
"I'm Quinlen of the saber-tooths," Quinlen replied.
"Well, let's go then, Quinlen." Miquai replied, "I'm Miquai, if you're wondering."
He raced her to the herd of Zebras nearby. "No more hunger, and an actually nice female," He though contentedly.
