Well, if you get anxious over it you don’t need to go, right? I hope you don’t... you shouldn’t keep putting yourself in that kind of situation.
You should inform them then. Tell them going makes you anxious for reasons and you’re going to stop going. They should be able to respect that.

Then leave gay club. Or recognize what about it makes you anxious and explain your problem to the others

If it makes you feel bad, tell 'em you need to quit, then quit.
