So I had a best friend I met in 6th grade. (lets call my best friend "Squirrel") She and I were also friends with this other girl ("Tiger") and the three of us were good. THEN in 7th grade... this new girl came. (she can be... "fox" i guess. very sly.) SO Squirrel (my initial best friend), actually became really close to Fox. Squirrel and Fox eventually became best friends. Tiger was into a lot of other things too, and so she had other friends in the cheer team with her and stuff like that, so she was a bit hurt, but she still had the "safety-net" of the cheerleaders. There was nothing romantic at all during this, but I almost became kinda the third wheel of their friendship. (So to be clear, me and Tiger didn't really like Fox, respectively). So one day, a few people in our class went to this after school evening thing that occasionally happened. So... Squirrel kiiiinda invited BOTH Fox and Tiger to her house for like dinner or whatever happened in those hours before that event and uh, that hurt. (continued

BUT IT GOT WORSE... So I get a text from Squirrel. It says some... really bad stuff like "I don't want you anymore" "stop always being around me" "You are the one keeping me from being independent" (I don't remember the words but it got worse) Meanwhile, I am reading this in the car with my mom on the way to the event. AwKwArD. So being the sensitive person I am, I just start crying. And being the type of person my mom is, she reads the texts Squirrel sent and then TELLS SQUIRREL'S MOM. that was bad. Then ig Squirrel's mom told Squirrel to CALL ME and apologize. I did not want to talk to anyone. But my phone rings telling me Squirrel wants to call, but when I pick up guess who I hear. Fox. Fox says "Oh hi, oh no I'm so sorry uh, Squirrel is in the gym let me go to her [she walks and stuff] Yeah she really didn't mean anything I feel really bad for you- oh here she is" and I'm like trying not to have my voice shake or anything cuz that would be just bad. But Squirrel kinda says stuff like "im so sorry- (contin

"and I didn't mean it. You're a good friend" and stuff like that. I tell her I'm not coming to the event, but she wants me to. I still am not, I was crying smh (didn't tell her that). Well, I am not exactly accepting her apology when she hangs up, but my mom starts to drive us home. Then Squirrel's mom texts (a bit later, I forgot if it was the next day or an hour or 5 minutes later), and says that FOX WAS ACTUALLY BEHIND EVERYTHING. Fox texted ME on behalf of SQUIRREL, which is just messed up. The next Monday, a month later, a year later, I dont know, Tiger tells me what went on that night. Squirrel gave Fox her phone (i still dont know the reason) and Fox, clingy as she is, decided to cut me out of the circle. I don't know if Squirrel and Tiger were fine with that, or if they had nothing to do with this, but then Fox "felt rlly bad and started crying." She felt bad? stfu. (ok I'm being too mean I feel bad lmao) But the reason Squirrel took the blame was because she felt bad for Fox. (continued a bit)

Fox never formally apologized, though the four of us were on... slightly better terms throughout 8th grade. None of them go to the high school I'm at now, and I found that because I moved schools often, I am able to drop friends pretty quickly. On the last day of 8th grade, Fox asked everyone to block her number, but Tiger told me she had already blocked it months ago. I haven't talked to Squirrel or Tiger since, but apparently they still hang out. That stings a bit, but it's ok since I'm ready to drop them anyway. (I haven't spoken about that since it happened. haha ty <3 Luckily there's no drama this year because I wanted to do fully online school this year. I don't rlly have any friends, but honestly there's a lot of work so I think it's better without any distractions at least this year. But yeah ;-; that's pretty much it!
