For people who are just friends who enjoy working together, this can put a strain on their friendship. If every time you do something even remotely nice for your friend on camera, people take it as evidence that you are dating, then you’re going to stop doing nice things for your friend on camera.
Shipping real people is a problem that needs to stop, and can easily be stopped. You’re still allowed to think that people would be cute together, just stop telling strangers on the internet that you want them to date their friends. Problem solved.

LinkMy irl friends are constantly shipping me with my friend Ella. For the record, I'm barely even attracted to women at all!!! Ella and I were really close friends but it became so uncomfortable for the both of us that we've drifted apart because of it and I lost one of my closest friends.

ikr my sis "friend" shipped me with this kid that i thoght liked me bc he tried to touch my hair 2 years ago so i smaked his hand away from me, then the year after that me and him so what talked but sometimes i hold gruges and i would not be his friend but everytime we would talkk to each other this "friend" comes over and said i shipp too and im like hell no.Let me give u so info about her she treats my sis like she is crap and she acts like she does not like me, but when my sis and her get into a fight im some how her "friend".Also she is so rude and she is one of the girls who thinks their "popular" but no one likes her unless they dont know who she really is.
