Reference for Onyx --->

Hiiii! So it’s been a really long time since I’ve drawn this ship on Flip— so long in fact I’ve completely changed the man’s name and species! We love when that happens! So yeah! Osako has now been renamed Onyx, because I was really bad at naming characters… He needed a cooler persona. I also made him a fox boy?? I don’t have a logistic reason behind that change… I just thought he seemed very foxy. I guess his main personality type is sly and cunning, so having him be a fox on top of that just really suits him in my eyes.

This ship is one that takes place way later on in the story, as you can tell by Aria’s classic “daddy issues” scar— only this time the scar was given to her by a former crush… yippee. Onyx is a criminal that works for Kaila’s underground villain group, and is one of the reasons Aria joins in as well. They get along well, despite their frequent bickering, because Onyx isn’t very pushy. He may look like a playboy, but he’s probably the most considerate gentleman a girl could meet— and that archetype brings Aria to her knees in less than a few weeks. Anyways! I just felt like drawing them together after so much time. I love Onyx’s design, though it’s pretty straightforward. Hope y’all like his new look! 🩵💛🩷
