LinkA) your oc was chained and thrown into the ocean by bad people who want you dead (you come up with a reason) and you sank to the bottom of the saw a sea creature pass by and you passed out by the lack of oxygen. You then wake up, still chained, but this mermaid was kissing you and you were able to breathe. Wwyd?
B) you were in a ship wreck and you don’t remember what happened to the ship or the crew mates but you wake up and see someone over you.

Isabella: oh is that what it’s called. Magic? Uhm that’s all I can do. But m- I mean the king has this special pearl where he can make humans into mermaids but we don’t use do that anymore.
C:"it might be called something different but i wouldnt know, and is there a specific reason it isnt used anymore?"
Isabella: well a few years ago the queen saved a human from a ship wreck and turned them into a mermaid. But once that human Had to leave he was turned back into a human. We thought he was our friend but months later he came back it’s his crew. Trying to take the pearl for themselves, our queen was killed trying to protect the pearl. So we decided to never use the pearl again. And to stay away from land and humans.
C:"if humans wernt inherently selfish they could fix some of the worlds problems"
C:"yeah, and instead of focusing on world problems people are focusing on going to the stars"
