It was a cold sunny day, in the Thunderclan camp there was nothing more than the sounds of cats meowing in conversation and the wind wisping around, making the crisp leaves of Leaf-fall dance. “Everyone”, shouted a big, gray cat. “All cats old enough to hunt for themselves, come below the high rock.” Warriors, apprentices, queens, elders and the medicine cat all gathered around under the high rock where the gray cat stood. “As you all know”, he began, “Leaf-bare is coming. We must be hunting at this time.” he sounded stern and fierce, but there was a glimmer of content in his eyes. “And”, he added, “I’d like to announce the coming of new kits today”, a beautiful tortoiseshell she-cat walked out of the nursery and mewed hello to the camp. “Ah, there you are Moonshade!” called the gray cat. “Good morning Featherstar!” she mewed softly, walking up to him. “Are you going to tell them?” Moonshade added softly. Featherstar nodded. “I’d like to announce the coming of our newest kit…” Featherstar began, "Smokekit!"
