Alright; so, if being gay isn’t a mental illness what is it? Mental illnesses inhibit emotions or behavior, causing people to function in was that don’t benefit them. You know what doesn’t benefit humanity? Being gay. It prevents an individual from procreating, and causes an attraction to the same sex, which is impractical from a biological standpoint. Gay people are more likely to be depressed or suicidal- although that can be discounted as an effect of society so let’s overlook that and instead look at the fact people who are traumatized and abused are more likely to be gay; as is similar with many mental illnesses. Yes, not ALL people, but it’s never all, even with other mental illnesses. And if we are saying people are born gay, or at least it is developed in early childhood, isn’t it a condition then? Just something I wanted to ponder and share— I still believe gay people deserve equal rights (that is- they shouldn’t be oppressed, I don’t think right to religion should be opressed eithe

It’s the way it always is with unpopular beliefs isn’t it. You can join the crowd or object— either way you end up miserable. One way you are accepted, but forced to deny your beliefs, the other way you are denied, but true to yourself. Hated but honest, or loved but dishonest. A hard call to make.

I find myself very bad at avoiding people and very bad at staying silent. I’m a bit of an argumentative person— I like discussing issues with people. Different opinions, different beliefs. It’s fascinating to see first hand what people believe and why. Might be somehow connected to my fascination with psychology.

I’ve started to leave the angry people alone— but I find there are some civilized people out there that don’t get overly angry. And I suppose it matters more to me considering my religion and it’s more a life or death matter. I find that it’s worth talking to many angry people if you find one person who is open to the topic and a different point of view. But you take a very smart approach. I suppose the fact the Bible says we are going to be persecuted kinda makes me less wary of being confronted and yelled at.

But if it was before How can it not be now? It’s just less of a big deal, less impactful, but not nonexistent. Not suddenly not real, just easier to live with. Also why? Children are adorable! Although they are also evil masterminds...

Toddlers at least say cute weird things. Babies just sleep and cry and poop, and if you’re lucky, they smile.

Well I wasn’t saying I was going to stop anyone haha. People have rights. I’m just trying to make the point so that people stop taking my religion so badly. Like, there is actual reasons we believe what we do. Also it’s hard to not care what people think considering we live for relationships. But as long as you’ve got one other person to stand by you then it’s pretty easy :)

Well it is actually pretty different considering the point of sex is kinda to make children I mean we don’t really make it that in modern society, but that is still the point, biologically.
