-very common. Not much is know about the fungus. They also eat nuts and berries, but that's boring. Let's talk about the poop now >:) The poop contains all the stuff they eat, and crystals. Why crystals? I don't know. There is a theory that the heart has to do with it. But, that is a theory okay? The poop sits out for a while, and eventually a sprout comes out! I am almost 100% sure the crystals have to do with the plant. As the plant grows, the petals and center of the flower becomes crystalized, and they eventually fall off. They don't do anything though. Or so we think, some people say they grow into the special fungus they eat. Reproduction: Well, they reproduce in a different way than most mammals. They first insert- okay why would you want to know Ugh- anyways what is special about their reproduction??? Welllllll- they make a baby in 5 days. Yeah, it takes them 5 days to grow into a baby that is ready to be born. Life span: Although very small and seem very easy prey, they live up to 40-120

-years!! Pretty cool, and I forgot to mention, as they age their crystal get's thicker, but they are still pretty brittle- They usually die of old age. What animal eats them? Well, that's a tricky question. Although only a few animals have been witnessed trying to eat of these fellows, they all fail too. You know why? OH YEAH! Because the hedgehogs have a special power >:) They stink They smell Their crystals secrete disgusting, smelly fluids from around the heart. Yeah. BUT- they have another super power that is more interesting They have sticky paws! They can climb up something with no problems! But usually they can be seen walking around with something stuck on their foot. The stickiness comes from a special gland only these hedgehogs have. It usually comes out on command, but it stays for a while. Babies: They are like regular mammals, they barely have any fur (in this case, spines) and their eyes are closed for a while. Their heart is exposed at this stage of life.

Female: They are smaller and have darker crystals and are more "cute" Male: Lighter crystals, and are "less cute". They are bigger, and carry the hoglets. Enviornment: Found in forests; in rotting logs and that stuff
